Fasteners of bulk amorphous alloy
Embodiments relates to a hook side fastener having hooks and a loop side fastener having loops. The hooks and/or loops are made of bulk solidifying amorphous metal alloy. Other embodiments relate to methods of making and using the hook side and loop side fasteners.
ATTACHMENT SYSTEM, E.G., FOR PANELS
A system for fastening a covering on a surface, the system comprising:
a first assembly (100) comprising a first retaining element (120); and
a second assembly (200) comprising a second retaining element (220);
the first and second retaining elements (120, 220) being configured to engage each other so as to form a reversible bond;
the system being characterized in that the first retaining element (120) comprises an array of retaining elements comprising hooks having a height (Hc) lying in the range 0.05 mm to 1 mm, and the second retaining element (220) comprises an array of retaining elements comprising loops having a height (Hb) lying in the range 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm.
CONNECTION SYSTEM
A connection system consists at least of an adhesion part and a fastening part. The adhesion part has at least one support part having a plurality of stem-like adhesion elements integrally joined thereto, the head parts of which adhesion elements can be releasably fixed at their free end faces to third components by means of adhesion. The fastening part is rigidly connected to the adhesion part on one side, and on another, opposite side has exposed fastening elements which, when brought into engagement with additional, correspondingly designed fastening elements of an additional fastening part, form a releasable adhesive fastener.
FASTENING SYSTEM
A fastening system for securing a first region having a first securing member and a second region having a second securing member. The system includes a first surface fastener provided on a first securing member and a second surface fastener provided on a first securing member or a second securing member. That securing member, out of the first securing member and the second securing member, having the second surface fastener provided thereon includes the second surface fastener and a substrate having the second surface fastener laminated thereon.
Dissimilar material joining via interlocking metasurfaces
The integration of dissimilar materials poses a significant challenge in engineering, necessitating innovative solutions for robust and reliable joining. Interlocking metasurfaces (ILMs) are a new joining technology comprising arrays of autogenous features patterned across two surfaces that interlock to form robust structural joints. The present invention is directed to optimizing the tensile performance of ILM joints formed between dissimilar materials. Parametric optimization can be used to identify optimal unit cell geometries for maximal yield strength. The invention enables the design of stronger ILM joints between dissimilar materials, thereby making ILMs a versatile and effective joining technology in diverse engineering applications.
Forming touch fasteners on substrates
A touch fastener strip includes a sheet-form material substrate having a front face, an array of fastener elements integrally molded with a resin base layer on the front face of the substrate and an array of discrete regions of resin (e.g., gripping elements) integrally molded with a resin base layer through apertures in the sheet-form material on the back face of the substrate. The array of fastener elements forms a discrete band of fastener elements extending longitudinally along the front face of the fastener strip, and the array of gripping elements forms a discrete band of gripping elements extending longitudinally along the back face of the fastener strip.
COMPOSITE FASTENER
An improved means of joining two different kinds of anchoring elements, at least one of which is flexible, each equipped with anchoring means in such a way that when the two surfaces are positioned against each other, they grip and clamp together.
PLUG-IN TYPE DETACHABLE LAYERED CARPET
The present invention discloses a plug-in type detachable layered carpet, which comprises an upper carpet body and a lower carpet body, wherein the upper carpet body and the lower carpet body are respectively provided with 2-3 layers of fabric, and the upper carpet body and the lower carpet body are arranged one above the other and the adjacent surfaces can be connected in a plug-in manner, so that on the one hand, the top screen layer and the supporting layer respectively belonging to the upper carpet body and the lower carpet body can be quickly disassembled and adjusted in position with low resistance, on the other hand, the upper carpet body can be cleaned by at home independently, and the pattern is less likely to be scratched after washing.
Polyester fabric hook-and-loop fastener and manufacturing method for same
A polyester woven-fabric hook-and-loop fastener has a warp yarn thickness Tb which is 0.94 times or less of a warp yarn thickness Ts. A selvage area having a constant width is present on two opposite ends, continuously in a line form in the warp direction, without misalignment in the weft direction. As a result, when the polyester woven-fabric hook-and-loop fastener is sewn onto a garment or the like, a sewing thread sewn to the selvage area is in a straight line without meandering, and thus a sewn product excellent in appearance can be obtained.
COMPOSITE FASTENER
An improved assembly of joining two different kinds of anchoring elements, at least one of which is flexible, each equipped with anchoring in such a way that when the two surfaces are positioned against each other, they grip and clamp together.
