Aqueous dispersion of cerium (III) carbonate particles
The present invention relates to a composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of cerium (III) carbonate particles having a z-average particle size in the range of from 5 nm to 500 nm, which composition further comprises a capping ligand. The composition is useful as an additive in formulations that contain polymer, pigments, dyes, or tints, or a combination thereof, to promote color retention and attenuate unwanted color formation in coatings formed from these formulations.

The invention relates to a composition comprising fermented molasses and at least one colloidal filler having a density of greater than or equal to 1.8 at 20 C. The invention also relates to the use of fermented molasses as a dispersant for a colloidal filler in a dispersion, preferably in a drilling fluid, in a detergent composition or in a pigment paste. The invention also relates to the use of a fermented molasses composition for forming a coating on a surface, wherein the composition comprises at least 35% by weight of dry matter of fermented molasses relative to the total weight of the composition.

The coated zirconium nitride particle of the present invention contain zirconium nitride particles, an oxide layer covering at least a part of a surface of the zirconium nitride particles, and fine carbon particles scattered on a surface of the oxide layer or in the oxide layer, in which a content of a surface-adhered carbon is in a range of 0.10% by mass or more and 5.0% by mass or less.
