HOOK STRUCTURE OF A SOFT HOOK STRAP OF A HOOK-AND-LOOP FASTENER
An improved hook structure, of a soft hook strap of a hook-and-loop fastener, has a width W and includes: a hook body integrally protruding upright from a substrate of the hook strap; and a curved head portion curvedly bent downwardly from a top end of the hook body, the head portion including a hook end and a neck portion extending between the hook body and the hook end, wherein a lower side of the neck portion has a curvature defined by an imaginary circle located in a space between the hook body and the hook end and the head portion has a height H defined by points A and B on head portion which are intersection points of a imaginary vertical line passing through the center of the circle intersecting with an upper side and the lower side of the head portion respectively. The width W of the hook structure and the height H of the head portion satisfies a relationship defined below:
SURFACE FASTENER, CUSHIONING STRUCTURE, AND SEAT STRUCTURE
A surface fastener formed of a synthetic resin and in which a base with a 0.1 to 0.9 mm thickness and engagement element groups including engagement elements with a 0.2 to 0.8 mm protrusion height are integrally molded, and engagement element rows are composed of the plural engagement elements arranged in a row direction and each protruding independently. A cushioning member is covered with a covering member via the surface fastener. A resistance value of the surface fastener by itself as measured by a handle-o-meter method conforming to the JIS L 1096 E method is 80 to 150 g, whereas a load-deflection characteristic when a pressure is applied to an overlapping portion of the stacked surface fastener and cushioning member by a pressure plate with a 30 mm diameter approximates a similarly measured load-deflection characteristic of the cushioning member by itself.
RFID ENHANCED FIXTURING APPARATUS
A fixturing apparatus that includes a housing defining an interior space and having a trapezoidal cross-section, a first end, and an opposing second end, and is formed to include an aperture extending therethrough from the first end to said second end. The fixturing apparatus further comprises a flexible strap and a radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip to allow identifying and tracking the fixturing apparatus.
TOUCH FASTENERS AND METHODS OF FORMATION
Aspects disclosed herein relate to forming on a substrate fastener elements suitable for use in touch fastener by employing vibration forming methods. The processes described provide for a greater flexibility in manufacturing than prior methods and overcome certain limitations in prior forming techniques. Further, the product made can embody a variety of different configurations suitable for a given application. Employing vibration forming methods, such ultrasonic forming methods, allows for the use of a wider variety of substrate material than materials used with convention methods of touch fastener formation.
MOLDED SURFACE FASTENER
A vehicle cover assembly comprising; a flexible cover; one or more side rails; and a fastener assembly that is secured to a vehicle bed comprising; a cover fastener that is on one or more edge regions of the flexible cover; and a side rail fastener with one or more rows of fasteners comprising; a plurality of dual hooks on the base that releasably connect with the cover fastener of the flexible cover; and a plurality of spacers between the plurality of dual hooks.
Injection-moulded article comprising a field of hooks obtained by moulding
One-piece article obtained by injection molding, with at least one injection point, said article comprising a main body (20), having a body volume defined by the space within a surface forming an outer envelope, and at least one hook (21), preferably a field of hooks, obtained from the same molding of the main body of the molded article, the hook or each hook having a stem of longitudinal axis and a catching part projecting laterally from the stem, characterized in that the volume of the hooks is substantially smaller than the volume of the body, i.e. at least 100 times smaller, preferably at least 1000 times smaller, for example between 100 000 and 100 000 000 times smaller, than the volume of the body, and in that the width, or smallest transverse dimension, of the stems, measured transversely to the longitudinal axis, is smaller than the thickness of the main body, measured along the longitudinal axis of the stems.
Molded hook and loop fastener and method of manufacturing cushion body
There is provided a molded hook and loop fastener having at least one hook and loop fastener member which includes a flat plate-shaped base material and a plurality of engaging elements erected on a first surface of the base material in a center region in a width direction thereof, and configured to be integrated with a cushion body upon foaming of the cushion body. A flexible sheet-shaped resin material infiltration-blocking member is fixed to right and left side edge portions of the first surface of the base material and arranged along a longitudinal direction. Right and left support members are erected on the inside of fixation portions of the resin material infiltration-blocking member with respect to the base material, to support the resin material infiltration-blocking member. An upper end of the resin material infiltration-blocking member is configured to protrude above an upper end location of the support members.
MALE TOUCH FASTENER ELEMENTS
A touch fastener element has a stem rising from a resin sheet, and a head disposed at an upper end of the stem and spaced from the resin sheet. The head has two arms that extend in opposite directions to distal ends, the arms having respective lower surfaces that overhang the resin sheet. The fastener element has two opposite side surfaces that form contiguous surfaces of the stem and both arms. The lower surface of each arm defines at least one recess extending away from the resin sheet and disposed between lower arm surface portions that face the resin sheet, such that the recess of each arm is spaced from both the stem and the distal end of the arm.
Water-soluble male molded hook-and-loop fastener and method for producing same
A water-soluble male-type molded hook-and-loop fastener includes a substrate and a plurality of male-type engaging elements, arranged in rows, protruding from the substrate surface. The engaging elements have a shape rising from the substrate surface and curving mid-course in a row direction, or a shape rising from the substrate surface, branching forward and backward mid-course in the row direction and curving in the row direction, with tip portions oriented toward the substrate surface in either shape. The substrate and the engaging elements both contain a mixture of a polyvinyl alcohol, 5 to 30 parts by mass of a polyhydric alcohol- or ethylene oxide-based polymer, and 3 to 20 parts by mass of a layered inorganic particle, based on 100 parts by mass of the polyvinyl alcohol. The polyvinyl alcohol has a degree of polymerization of 300 to 700 and a degree of saponification of 60 to 80% by mole.
Mold-in touch fastening product
A male touch fastener strip includes an elongated base and a field of male fastener elements each having a stem extending from a broad face of the base and a head for engaging fibers. The fastener element stems and broad face of the base together form a unitary mass of resin, such as a resin containing a magnetically attractable substance. Wings extend from respective longitudinal edges of the base and define discrete corrugations extending in a series along the fastener strip and forming corresponding undulations in the rear face of the strip along its longitudinal edges. The corrugated wings can also support a foam gasket.
