Cyclodextrin compositions, articles, and methods
Cyclodextrin compositions including one or more radiation polymerizable monomers and a cyclodextrin inclusion complex, the cyclodextrin inclusion complex including a cyclodextrin compound and an olefinic inhibitor of an ethylene generation in produce, are coated onto packaging materials and cured. Treated containers and treated package inserts having the cured cyclodextrin compositions are useful in packaging of respiring plant materials.
GOLF BALL
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball showing increased controllability on approach shots for less than 40 yards and showing excellent shot feeling. In the inventive golf ball, the paint film is formed from a curing type paint composition including: a base material containing a polyrotaxane, and a curing agent containing a polyisocyanate, and wherein the polyrotaxane has a cyclodextrin, a linear molecule included in a cyclic structure of the cyclodextrin in a manner of piercing through the cyclic structure of the cyclodextrin, and a blocking group located at both ends of the linear molecule to prevent disassociation of the cyclodextrin, and at least a part of hydroxyl groups of the cyclodextrin is modified with a caprolactone chain via OC.sub.3H.sub.6O group.

SURFACTANT-LOADED MOF-BASED ANTIVIRAL FABRIC FOR USE IN FACEMASKS AND RESPIRATORS
A method for developing an antimicrobial includes coating a cyclodextrin-based metal-organic framework (CD-MOF-1) solution on a polypropylene fabric. The method further includes forming a MOF-coated fabric based on the CD-MOF-1 coating. The method further may load a benzalkonium chloride (BAC)-based surfactant on the MOF-coated fabric to develop the antimicrobial fabric.
Cyclodextrin-based polyrotaxanes and protein hybrids as three-dimensional printing inks
Embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to a composition that includes a rotaxane. The rotaxane includes a plurality of macrocyclic rings and a polymer with a molecular weight below 10,000 Da that is covalently appended to one or more sterically hindered molecules. The cavities of the macrocyclic rings are threaded onto the polymer. The plurality of threaded macrocyclic rings include a plurality of different segments that each include a plurality of threaded macrocyclic rings. Each of the plurality of different segments is in the form of a crystalline network. Further embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to methods of forming the rotaxanes by covalently appending one or more sterically hindered molecules onto a polymer and threading a plurality of macrocyclic rings onto the polymer. Additional embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to methods of manufacturing a three-dimensional structure by applying a composition of the present disclosure onto a surface.
