Quick release tie down strap
A strap system is disclosed that has elongated primary and secondary straps, each having top and bottom sides, front and rear ends, and peripheral edges. The top side of the primary strap includes a first two-part mechanical fastener. The front end of the bottom side of the primary strap has a first part of a second two-part mechanical fastener, from which a stiffener extends forward. The bottom side of the secondary strap is fixed with the second object. The secondary strap also includes at the front end of the bottom side a second part of the second two-part mechanical fastener, and includes at the rear end a loop fixed about a rigid ring.

SURFACE FASTENER, CUSHIONING STRUCTURE, AND SEAT STRUCTURE
A surface fastener formed of a synthetic resin and in which a base with a 0.1 to 0.9 mm thickness and engagement element groups including engagement elements with a 0.2 to 0.8 mm protrusion height are integrally molded, and engagement element rows are composed of the plural engagement elements arranged in a row direction and each protruding independently. A cushioning member is covered with a covering member via the surface fastener. A resistance value of the surface fastener by itself as measured by a handle-o-meter method conforming to the JIS L 1096 E method is 80 to 150 g, whereas a load-deflection characteristic when a pressure is applied to an overlapping portion of the stacked surface fastener and cushioning member by a pressure plate with a 30 mm diameter approximates a similarly measured load-deflection characteristic of the cushioning member by itself.
Hot melt tape for velcro without sewing and method for manufacturing seat padding material for vehicles using the same
Disclosed are a hot melt tape for hook-and-loop fasteners without sewing which may be adhered at a low temperature and complete hardening of an adhesive resin in a short time and a method for manufacturing a seat padding material for vehicles using the same. The method includes preparing the padding material and a hook-and-loop fabric, preparing a hot melt tape having a hot melt resin layer by coating a surface of a release paper with a reactive hot melt resin having a melting point of 40-80 C. before reacting, adhering the hot melt tape to a surface of the padding material by applying heat of a temperature of 30-70 C. and pressure thereto, removing the release paper, adhering the hook-and-loop fabric to the exposed hot melt resin layer, and hardening the hot melt resin layer by cooling the padding material and the hook-and-loop fabric to a temperature of 0-20 C.
Fastening tape with improved attachment systems
Described is a fastening tape that includes improved attachment systems. To increase the effectiveness of attaching the fastening tape to a component foam, the bottom or underside of the fastening tape includes one or more membranes. The one or more membranes are attached to the bottom surface of the fastening tape at one or more attachment portions. To strengthen the attachment between the fastening tape and the component foam, the membrane may include one or more non-attachment portions in the form of open spaces or pockets into which the component foam may flow when introduced into the mold.
Current, temperature or electromagnetic actuated fasteners
A method of bonding or debonding objects includes providing a first object including a first substrate with moveable features thereon which provide an actuated and a non-actuated state having different protrusion from the first substrate or a different curvature. A second object has an array of loops thereon. The moveable features while in one of the actuated state and non-actuated state are positioned, sized and shaped to fit within the loops. The moveable features include or are mechanically coupled to a material which responds to application of an actuating condition including electrical current, temperature, or an electromagnetic field by changing between the actuated state and the non-actuated state. Electrical current, temperature, or an electromagnetic field is automatically applied or changed to trigger a state change between the actuated state and non-actuated state that results in a bonding event or a debonding event between the first object and the second object.
DEVICES AND ACCESSORIES EMPLOYING A LIVING HINGE
A device incorporating both a magnet and a living hinge may be employed to construct cases to protect electronic devices and to function as a closure for cases and lidded containers. Such cases often can be bent three 360 allowing the cases to be either closed protecting devices therein are closed upon themselves allowing the case to function to secure an electronic device to a substrate such as an article of clothing. The devices of the disclosure can also be used to organize and hold loose items together.
Eco loop closure fabric
A knitted textile fabric includes a first knitted fabric layer including a first set of yarns. The first knitted fabric layer has outwardly extending pile underlap loops at one face adapted for mated engagement with hooking elements of a hook component of a hook-and-loop fastener. The knitted textile fabric also includes a second knitted fabric layer having a second set of yarns attached to the first knitted fabric layer. The second set of yarns includes a plurality of filaments in which adjacent filaments are fused together and adjacent yarns are fused together.
Light weight modular pouch attachment system and method
An attachment system for supporting holders on a carrier includes a platform having a front side, an opposite back side, the platform being constructed of laminated layers having slits therethrough defined and bound by opposite edges of the layers fused together to increase wear and abrasion resistance of the edges, the slits arranged in a predetermined pattern of aligned and spaced apart rows, the slits being configured to receive straps therethrough between the front side and the back side to attach at least one holder to the platform, and the platform being supported by and comprising an element of a carrier configured to be worn against a portion of a user's body, the back side and at least one element of the carrier or a backing element defining and bounding a generally flat cavity through which the back side can be accessed.
DIMENSIONALLY FLEXIBLE TOUCH FASTENER STRIP
A fastening strip for touch fasteners is provided which includes a corrugated portion as well as fastening elements. The corrugated portion allows the strip to be bent in a plane perpendicular as well as parallel with the longitudinal axis of the strip such that it may be applied to curved surfaces and remain substantially flat. Fastening elements such as hooks, loops, mushroom-shaped, bulbous and double hooks may be included on both sides of the strip and on the walls of the channels that form the corrugations as well as between the corrugations. The corrugated fastening strips may be useful for automotive seating and diaper applications. Processes for forming the corrugated fastening strip area also disclosed.
