FORMING AND APPLYING A MATED FASTENER ASSEMBLY
A mechanical touch fastener assembly (10, 101) including two longitudinally continuous tapes (16), (18) carrying engaged fastener patches (12, 12a), (14, 14a,14b, 14c). The first tape (16) carrying a series of first fastener patches (12, 12a) arranged in a row along a length of the tape (16) and carrying a field of touch fastening features. Each first patch longitudinally spaced from adjacent first patches (12, 12a). The second tape (18) carrying a series of second fastener patches (14, 14a, 14b, 14c) carrying a second field of touch fastening features. The first (16) and second (18)
Molded surface fastener
The molded surface fastener has a base portion, right and left resin-intrusion-preventing wall portions standing on the base portion, and a plurality of engaging elements disposed between the right and left resin-intrusion-preventing wall portions. The resin-intrusion-preventing wall portions contain magnetic particles, and at least a part of a region formed of the resin-intrusion-preventing wall portions and the base portion has a concentration gradient portion in which a concentration of the contained magnetic particles is decreased toward at least one direction. This makes it possible to enhance the adhesion property between the part containing the magnetic particles and the part substantially containing no magnetic particles, and to suppress occurrence of cracks or the like between the containing part and the non-containing part of the magnetic particles at the time of manufacturing the molded surface fastener and at other times.
Devices and accessories employing a living hinge
A device incorporating both a magnet and a living hinge may be employed to construct cases to protect electronic devices and to function as a closure for cases and lidded containers. Such cases often can be bent three 360 allowing the cases to be either closed protecting devices therein are closed upon themselves allowing the case to function to secure an electronic device to a substrate such as an article of clothing. The devices of the disclosure can also be used to organize and hold loose items together.
Light weight modular pouch attachment system and method
A 3 dimensional shape retaining light weight pouch and method for making the same, for mounting on a carrier such as a garment such as, but not limited to, a vest, belt, cummerbund, pack, or the like, and more particularly, that utilizes standing portions of stiffened fused together edges of laminated or composite panels of the pouch to hold the pouch in a predetermined 3 dimensional shape. The pouch is durable and wear resistant, allows easy insertion and removal of articles, accessories, and objects to be held and/or carried thereby, and is simple and easy to manufacture, while being configurable to be compatible with some known systems mounting systems such as MOLLE PALS and the like.
REPOSITIONABLE WATERCRAFT TRACTION PAD
A watercraft board traction system includes a base layer having a upper surface and a bottom surface, the bottom surface of the base layer including an adhesive layer configured to adhesively attach to the board. The system further includes a traction layer having an upper surface and a bottom surface, the upper surface of the traction layer having a plurality of traction elements. The system further includes a fastener system having a bottom portion coupled with the upper surface of the base layer and a top portion coupled with the bottom surface of the traction layer, the fastener system being configured to releasably fasten the traction layer to the base layer when the base layer is adhesively attached to the board, the fastener system enabling repositioning and/or reorienting the traction layer relative to the base layer when the traction layer is fastened to the base layer.

WRAPPING TAPE FOR REPELLING INSECTS AND LONG OBJECT USING SAME
An aspect of the present invention relates to a wrapping tape for repelling insects, the wrapping tape having a number of male engagement elements on a front surface of a tape, and a number of loop-shaped engagement elements on a rear surface of the tape, wherein the male engagement elements and the loop-shaped engagement elements can be engaged each other, and an insect repellent component is applied at least to the front surface of the tape and the male engagement elements.
MOLDED SURFACE FASTENER MANUFACTURING METHOD
In this molded surface fastener, plural engaging elements having a stem portion and an engaging head portion formed integrally on the stem portion are standing on the base portion, at least one pawl portion having a pawl width dimension narrower than a width dimension at a boundary between the stem portion and the engaging head portion is protruded on an outer peripheral edge part of the engaging head portion, and a back surface of pawl of the pawl portion is formed at different angles with respect to a back surface of head portion of the engaging head portion. Such a molded surface fastener of the present invention has a substantial engaging force with respect to a female surface fastener and can make a texture of its surface comfortable.
MOLDED SURFACE FASTENER MANUFACTURING METHOD
In this molded surface fastener, an engaging element includes a columnar stem portion, and micro pawl portions protruding outward from an upper end outer peripheral edge of the stem portion in a plan view of the engaging elements. A pawl width dimension of the micro pawl portions is smaller than a line segment connecting two points on the upper end outer peripheral edge of the stem portion. The micro pawl portions protrude toward a base portion. This molded surface fastener has a high peel strength and a shear strength with respect to a female surface fastener.
