METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONDUCTIVE FILM, CONDUCTIVE FILM, AND TOUCH PANEL
A method for producing a conductive film having a substrate and a conductive layer disposed on the substrate has a first step of forming a precursor layer on the substrate, the precursor layer including a metal component or its precursor, a water-insoluble polymer X having a cross-linking group, a water-insoluble polymer Y having a reactive group that reacts with the cross-linking group, and a water-soluble polymer Z different from polymer X and polymer Y; a second step of reacting the cross-linking group in the water-insoluble polymer X with the reactive group in the water-insoluble polymer Y; and a third step of forming the conductive layer by removing the water-soluble polymer Z.

Additives to improve open-time and freeze-thaw characteristics of water-based paints and coatings
Waterborne coatings are described having an acceptable balance of properties both during the storage of coating, application and drying. The period in which irregularities in a freshly applied coating can be repaired without resulting in brush marks is referred to as the open time. Aqueous coatings generally employ dispersed high molecular weight polymers as binders. These binders often provide short open times when the coating is dried since the dispersed polymer particles tend to be immobilized quickly in the edge region of an applied coating. As a result, the viscosity of the coating increases rapidly, which leads to a limited window of workability. The instant invention provides additives that are not volatile but that will extend the time that the film is malleable after it is applied without interfering with other attributes, such as the resistance of the coating to freezing while in the can prior to application.

WATER-SOLUBLE POUCH FOR COLORING A WATER-BASED COATING
A water-soluble pouch for coloring a water-based coating, such as a paint or a stucco, is disclosed. The water-soluble pouch includes first and second sheets of water-soluble material that are plastically deformed and at least partially joined together such that interior surfaces of the first and second sheets cooperate to define at least one interior chamber. The first and second sheets are at least partially joined together by way of a bonding process. One or more pigments are contained within the at least one interior chamber. The water-soluble pouch is configured to dissolve and release the one or more pigments into the water-based coating when mixed with the water-based coating for at least a predetermined period of time. A method for coloring a water-based coating is also disclosed.

NONIONIC RESINS AND THEIR USES IN STAIN BLOCKING ARCHITECTURAL COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed herein are a stable nonionic resin composition that is compatible with a cationic resin composition, and blends of the nonionic resin and cationic resin. Primer and topcoat paint compositions containing such blends are resistant to stains migrating to the top of the paint films.
STAIN BLOCKING ARCHITECTURAL COMPOSITIONS WITH CATIONIC RESIN AND NONIONIC RESIN BLENDS
Disclosed herein are a stable nonionic resin composition that is compatible with a cationic resin composition, and blends of the nonionic resin and cationic resin. Primer and topcoat paint compositions containing such blends are resistant to stains migrating to the top of the paint films and are resistant to the effects of water sensitivity.
