There is provided a touch fastener that has high followability to the relative movement of portions to be engaged and does not easily separate from a mating member, and thus is usable in a wider range of applications. In the touch fastener, all the elements, that is, first strands, second strands, and engagement elements are formed of a thermoplastic elastomer. Further, the plurality of first strands and the plurality of second strands are disposed to intersect with each other, and consequently, hole portions each surrounded by the two adjacent first strands and the two adjacent second strands are provided. Accordingly, it has a high elastic function, easily stretches, and has high followability to the relative movement of portions to be engaged.

The fastening tape includes a plurality of fasteners, a support, and magnetic material positioned on the support. The support defines a plurality of plateaus and a plurality of valleys. The magnetic material is positioned on at least a portion of one of the plurality of plateaus or the plurality of valleys of the support such that a height of the magnetic material varies in the longitudinal direction. Because the height of the magnetic material varies, the fastening tape is more flexible in the longitudinal direction. In some cases, the fastening tape is also flexible in the lateral direction.

Thus, a foam resin can be prevented from intruding the engaging area of the fastener member in foam-molding of the cushion body. The masking member is also easily peeled off from the fastener member after foam-molding.

The at least one hook includes a stem and an engagement portion extending from an upper end of the stem in a longitudinal direction. At least some of the fastening cells which are adjacent to each other in a longitudinal direction are separated from each other by an open space extending across the substrate in a lateral direction. The fastening element extends inward of the respective fastening cells in a direction away from a respective one of the open spaces.
