A tile comprising the following components: A) a first film formed from a first composition comprising the following: i) a functionalized olefin-based polymer comprising one or more chemical groups selected from the following: a) a carboxylic acid, and/or b) an anhydride, and, optionally, c) an amino or an amine; and ii) a functionalized styrenic block copolymer, comprising, in polymerized form, styrene, and ethylene and/or at least one alpha-olefin, and comprising one or more chemical groups selected from the following: a) a carboxylic acid, and/or b) an anhydride; and B) a substrate comprising at least one layer formed from a second composition comprising a propylene-based polymer; and wherein the first film covers at least one surface of the substrate.
AQUEOUS RESIN DISPERSION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING AQUEOUS RESIN DISPERSION, AQUEOUS COATING MATERIAL, AND ADHESIVE
An aqueous resin dispersion with which excellent adhesiveness to a polyolefin base material such as a polypropylene base material can be easily obtained, which can be baked at low temperature, and which is for producing an aqueous coating material; and an aqueous coating material and an adhesive which contain the aqueous resin dispersion, are provided. In an aqueous resin dispersion (C) of the present invention, an olefin polymer (A) and a polymer (B) containing a constitutional unit derived from a radically polymerizable monomer (b1) having a reactive functional group are dispersed in an aqueous medium, a median diameter of the aqueous resin dispersion (C) measured by a dynamic light scattering method is 300 nm or less, and a dry product of the aqueous resin dispersion (C) contains 1 mass % or more of an insoluble component (D) that is insoluble in tetrahydrofuran.

An aqueous resin dispersion with which excellent adhesiveness to a polyolefin base material such as a polypropylene base material can be easily obtained, which can be baked at low temperature, and which is for producing an aqueous coating material; and an aqueous coating material and an adhesive which contain the aqueous resin dispersion, are provided. The present invention provides a modified polyolefin resin that can form a coating that exhibits excellent adhesion to a low-polarity base material, especially a poorly adherable polyolefin base material with no surface treatment even when being dried at low temperatures and has flexibility (bendability). Provided is a modified polyolefin resin that is a modified product of a polyolefin resin having a melting point (Tm) by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) of 60 to 165 C. with a modifier comprising the following (A): (A) a monomer mixture comprising Monomer Group (A-1) and Monomer Group (A-2) with a weight ratio of Monomer Group (A-1) to Monomer Group (A-2) ((A-1)/(A-2)) of 30/70 to 50/50.

ADHESION PROMOTING COMPOSITIONS AND METHOD OF IMPROVING FUEL RESISTANCE OF A COATED ARTICLE
The present invention is directed to solventborne film-forming compositions comprising: a) a non-chlorinated, linear polyolefin polymer prepared from a reaction mixture comprising 0.5 to 5 percent by weight maleic anhydride based on the total weight of monomers in the reaction mixture; b) an aminoplast: and c) a polymer component comprising: i) an addition polymer prepared from a reaction mixture comprising coumarone; and/or ii) an alkyd resin. The present invention is also drawn to methods of improving fuel resistance of a coated article, comprising: (1) applying the solventborne film-forming composition above to a substrate to form a coated substrate; (2) applying a curable film-forming composition to at least a portion of the coated substrate formed in step (1) to form a multi-layer coated substrate; and (3) heating the multi-layer coated substrate formed in step (2) to a temperature and for a time sufficient to cure the film-forming composition.
ADHESION PROMOTING COMPOSITIONS AND METHOD OF IMPROVING FUEL RESISTANCE OF A COATED ARTICLE
The present invention is directed to solventborne film-forming compositions comprising: a) a non-chlorinated, linear polyolefin polymer prepared from a reaction mixture comprising 0.5 to 5 percent by weight maleic anhydride based on the total weight of monomers in the reaction mixture; b) an aminoplast: and c) a polymer component comprising: i) an addition polymer prepared from a reaction mixture comprising coumarone; and/or ii) an alkyd resin. The present invention is also drawn to methods of improving fuel resistance of a coated article, comprising: (1) applying the solventborne film-forming composition above to a substrate to form a coated substrate; (2) applying a curable film-forming composition to at least a portion of the coated substrate formed in step (1) to form a multi-layer coated substrate; and (3) heating the multi-layer coated substrate formed in step (2) to a temperature and for a time sufficient to cure the film-forming composition.
FLEXIBLE PREPREG AND USES THEREOF
A prepreg is provided. The prepreg is prepared by impregnating a liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric with a thermal-curable resin composition or by coating a thermal-curable resin composition onto a liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric and drying the impregnated or coated liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric, wherein the thermal-curable resin composition includes: (A) an unsaturated monomer; and (B) a cyclic olefin copolymer including the following repeating units: (B-1) a repeating unit of formula (I),

##STR00003## R.sup.1 to R.sup.22, m, n, o, and p in formulas (I) to (III) are as defined in the specification, wherein based on the total moles of the repeating units (B-1) to (B-3), the content of the repeating unit (B-2) is 19 mol % to 36 mol %, and wherein the weight ratio of the cyclic olefin copolymer (B) to the unsaturated monomer (A) is 0.5 to 7.
Method of incorporating ethylene copolymers into latex
Provided is a method for preparing a latex composition, comprising providing an ethylene copolymer comprising copolymerized units of ethylene and copolymerized units of at least one polar comonomer; dissolving the ethylene copolymer with one or more latex monomers to prepare a solution; mixing the solution with water; optionally adding a surfactant or protectant colloid to form an aqueous emulsion; and polymerizing the latex monomer in the emulsion to form a latex composition comprising the ethylene copolymer and a latex polymer. Further provided are the emulsion polymerization product and the mini-emulsion polymerization product of at least one ethylene copolymer substantially dissolved in at least one latex monomer, such as an acrylic, styrene or vinyl monomer. Finally, formulated products comprising or produced from the emulsion or mini-emulsion polymerization product and articles comprising or produced from the formulated products are provided.
