MODIFIED GRAPHENE AND GRAPHENE NANOPLATELET FOR ANTI-CORROSION COATINGS
A graphene-based zinc containing coating is provided to prevent or slow down the corrosion of steel. The graphene-based materials are selected from a group of modified single-layer graphene, double-layer graphene, few layer graphene, graphene nanoplatelet, doped graphene, and a combination thereof. The modified graphene-based materials in zinc-containing paints or coatings act as a barrier to prevent or slow down the diffusion of corrosive species to the steel surface to be protected. For such a purpose, the graphene has a high aspect ratio and good structural integrity, especially a lack of defects on the basal plane of the graphene.
COATING COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING A POLYESTER, ARTICLES, AND METHODS OF COATING
The present disclosure provides a coating composition useful as a coating on food cans, and particularly as interior white or gold food can coatings. The coating composition includes a polyester polymer preferably having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of less than 10,000, a glass transition temperature (Tg) of more than 60° C., and a hydroxyl value greater than 10 mg KOH/g resin. The polyester preferably includes one or more cyclic groups selected from a monocyclic group having five ring members or less, a polycyclic group, or both, preferably in a backbone of the polyester polymer.

Coating Composition With Easy-Clean Performance
The invention relates to a hydroxyl-functional polyester containing a perfluoropolyether block prepared by a method comprising the following steps: a) subjecting a carboxyl-terminated perfluoropolyether C to a reaction with an epoxy-functional compound D, and b) subjecting the reaction product of step a) to a reaction with a lactone E. The polyester thus prepared can be used in a coating composition, comprising further (b) an OH-functional or epoxy-functional resin, and (c) a hardener comprising groups reactive to the OH or epoxy-functional groups of resin (b).
Matt powder coatings
A branched carboxylic acid functional polyester resin P is described herein along with thermosetting powder coating compositions (PCC A) comprising a binder K, the binder K comprising the polyester resin P and a crosslinker X. The invention further relates to a cured PCC A. In addition, processes for making said PCC A and processes for coating an article with said PCC A are described as well as articles having coated thereon the PCC A and an articles having coated and cured thereon the PCC A.
