Polyamide composition and film and method for manufacturing the same
A method of forming a film is provided, which includes providing a sheet from a polyamide composition; and biaxial stretching of the sheet to form a film, wherein the polyamide composition includes a blend of a first polyamide and a second polyamide. The first polyamide has a repeating unit of ##STR00001##
and the second polyamide has repeating units of ##STR00002##
The second polyamide is a crystalline random copolymer. The sheet of the polyamide composition is biaxially stretched at a rate of 20 mm/sec to 100 mm/sec.

ELECTRICAL CABLE WITH IMPROVED INSTALLATION AND DURABILITY PERFORMANCE
An electrical cable having improved abrasion resistance, hydrophobicity, and/or UV protecting properties comprises a conductor having a protecting sheath and/or jacket comprising a base polymer (such as a thermoplastic or thermoset) having an abrasion reducing agent, a lubricant, a hydrophobic agent, and/or a UV protecting agent mixed therein. The resulting cable jacket and/or cable sheath defines an outer surface having improved abrasion reduction properties, lubricating properties, hydrophobic properties, and/or UV protecting properties.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING
An example of a kit for three-dimensional (3D) printing includes an ultraviolet (UV) light fusing agent. The ultraviolet (UV) light fusing agent includes an aqueous vehicle; and a functionalized benzophenone that is at least partially soluble in the aqueous vehicle, the functionalized benzophenone having absorption at wavelengths ranging from about 340 nm to about 405 nm.

An example of a kit for three-dimensional (3D) printing includes an ultraviolet (UV) light fusing agent. The ultraviolet (UV) light fusing agent includes an aqueous vehicle; and a functionalized benzophenone that is at least partially soluble in the aqueous vehicle, the functionalized benzophenone having absorption at wavelengths ranging from about 340 nm to about 405 nm.
MULTILAYER TUBE
A multilayer tube having excellent low temperature impact resistance, breakage pressure strength at high temperature, flexibility, dimensional stability, and elution resistance of low molecular weight substances and ion components. The multilayer tube has a layer containing an aliphatic polyamide composition having a predetermined range of a bending elastic modulus; a layer containing a modified polyolefin has a melting point over a predetermined temperature, and the aliphatic polyamide composition contains an aliphatic polyamide having a predetermined range of a methylene group/amide group number ratio, an elastomer polymer having a constituent unit derived from a carboxyl group and/or acid anhydride group-containing unsaturated compound, and a plasticizer having a certain structure if necessary; and the thickness of the layer containing the aliphatic polyamide composition is a specific ratio or more of the total wall thickness of the tube.
Multilayer tube

The multilayer tube has a layer containing an aliphatic polyamide composition having a predetermined range of a bending elastic modulus; a layer containing a modified polyolefin has a melting point over a predetermined temperature, and the aliphatic polyamide composition contains an aliphatic polyamide having a predetermined range of a methylene group/amide group number ratio, an elastomer polymer having a constituent unit derived from a carboxyl group and/or acid anhydride group-containing unsaturated compound, and a plasticizer having a certain structure if necessary; and the thickness of the layer containing the aliphatic polyamide composition is a specific ratio or more of the total wall thickness of the tube.
POROSITY REDUCTION BY ENCAPSULATED POLYMERIZING AGENTS
A method, composition, and article of manufacture. The method can include depositing a layer, which includes a set of particles and a set of microcapsules encapsulating polymerizing agents. The method can also include fusing particles in selected areas of the layer with a laser, and rupturing at least a portion of microcapsules using at least one energy source selected from the laser, an ultraviolet (UV) radiation source, and a heat source. The composition can include a set of particles and a set of microcapsules, each containing a polymerizing agent encapsulated by a degradable shell. The article of manufacture can include fused layers that include fused particles and pores sealed in reactions with polymerizing agents released from degradable microcapsules.
