POLYACRYLIC PFPE DERIVATIVES
The present invention relates to copolymers comprising recurring units derived from (per) fluoropolyether polymers, and to their use in coatings, surface treatments and as additives in polymer composites and coating compositions
Betapropiolactone and functionalized betapropiolactone based polymer systems
Disclosed herein are polymers, copolymers and polymer systems based on polypropiolactones which can be biodegradable and can enhance the recyclability of polymer systems, which can be functionalized to introduce desired functionality into the polymers and/or which may optionally be prepared from renewable raw materials. Disclosed are novel functionalized beta propiolactones. Some of the novel functionalized beta propiolactones have functional groups bound to the ring structure of the lactone that provide improved polymer systems. Disclosed are novel homopolymers of the functionalized beta propiolactones. Disclosed are novel copolymers based on the functionalized beta propiolactones with beta propiolactone or other monomers which copolymerize with the functionalized beta propiolactones.
COMPOSITION FOR COATING MATERIALS
The present invention provides a water-repellent coating composition which enables easy removal of dirt while having good appearance due to high compatibility of a water-repellent component with other materials. The present invention provides a coating composition, comprising a siloxane group-containing polymer (A) and a crosslinking agent (B), wherein the siloxane group-containing polymer (A) is a block copolymer comprising an A block and a B block, and containing, in the A block, at least a structural unit derived from a siloxane group-containing vinyl monomer (a) and containing, in the B block, a structural unit derived from a hydroxyl group-containing vinyl monomer (b) and, as necessary, a structural unit derived from another vinyl monomer (c) copolymerizable with the vinyl monomers (a) and (b), and is a copolymer having a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 2.0 or less and polymerized by living radical polymerization.
NANOPORE DEVICES INCLUDING BARRIERS USING POLYMERS WITH END GROUPS, AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Nanopore devices including barriers using polymers with end groups, and methods of making the same, are provided herein. In some examples, a barrier between first and second fluids is provided. The barrier may be suspended by a barrier support defining an aperture. The barrier may include one or more layers suspended across the aperture and including molecules of a block copolymer. Each molecule of the block copolymer may include one or more hydrophilic blocks having an approximate length A and one or more hydrophilic blocks having an approximate length B. The hydrophilic blocks may form outer surfaces of the barrier and the hydrophobic blocks being located within the barrier. End groups may be coupled to ends of the hydrophilic blocks that form outer surfaces of the barrier. The end groups may have a different hydrophilicity than the hydrophilic blocks.
A WATER-SOLUBLE CO-POLYESTER POLYMER; A PROCESS OF SYNTHESIS AND A COATING COMPOSITION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a water-soluble co-polyester polymer. The polymer of the present invention is used for inline coating of BOPET film manufacturing, coating of BOPET film used as primer for vacuum metallization and surface coating of Aluminum sheets. The polymer of the present invention provides wide range of printability performances and high metal to film bond strength with minimum gain in weight. The disclosed polymer also provides Tape Test resistant printing and retort resistant layered/composite film. The present invention also discloses a coating composition for preparing peelable sealable biaxially oriented films with desired peel strength, minimum/negligible hazing and negligible anti-fog properties.
Flexible Coating Composition
The present disclosure describes polymers and improved resin systems having flexibility, low water uptake, good adhesion, chemical resistance, and/or weatherability at extreme negative temperatures, such as temperatures down to about −40° C. or below and even temperatures down to about −60° C. The systems herein, in approaches, include a polymer or resin system for an epoxy component of an epoxy/amine system including an epoxy and/or acetoacetoxy functionalized flexible block copolymer that has a base hydrophobic polyol block or core, optional flexible monomeric blocks, and epoxy, acetoacetoxy, or both functional endcaps.
