A fastener element has a central land portion and first and second bulging portions bulging from the central land portion toward the tape front surface side and the tape rear surface side in the element thickness direction. The first and second bulging portions respectively have a bulging end surface facing to the element thickness direction. The bulging end surface has a quadrilateral base end surface which is long in the element length direction and a tapered protrusion end surface protruding from the base end surface in the element width direction. Thus, it is possible to make the fastener element look like a single-sided metal element and to make a slide fastener which is formed by using the fastener elements lighter than a conventional slide fastener having single-sided metal elements.

A child resistant zipper closure for a plastic bag includes a double slider, including a first slider and second slider. The first and second sliders are oriented on the zipper closure such that when at least one of the first slider and second slider is moving in a direction toward the other of the first slider and second slider, the zipper is interlocking; and when at least one of the first slider and second slider is moving in a direction away from the other of the first slider and second slider, the zipper is unlocking. The first and second sliders can be realeasably connected together.

A fashion accessory and a method of operating a zipper are provided. A zipper puller (110) has a one piece structure including a molded plastic body (112) and an integral molded looped tether (114). The looped tether is molded in a first size and shape, and after molding the looped tether is permanently deformed to a second size and second shape by aligning the crystalline structure of the looped tether material.

A musical zipper including a zipper having a slider, a continuous C-shaped flap having a pair of outer ends attached to a front surface of the slider, a pull tab engaging the flap, a pair of interlocking teeth having a first interlocking member and a second interlocking member, a speaker disposed on the front surface of the slider, and a sound chip disposed within the slider. The slider is configured to travel from a first end of the zipper to a second end of the zipper to connect the first interlocking member with the second interlocking member. The slider is configured to travel from the second end of the zipper to the first end of the zipper to disconnect the first interlocking member from the second interlocking member. The sound chip is configured to play a musical tune when the sound chip is activated.

A locking zipper pull is described wherein the zipper pull is locked when the pull's lever(s) are locked in a first position and can be unlocked by moving the lever(s) into a second position to allow the zipper pull to be slid along an associated zipper chain.

Stop member includes: a first member including a first insert to be inserted into a slider via a rear mouth of the slider, and a first base positioned rearward of the first insert; and a second member including a second insert to be inserted into the slider via a slit extending between the rear mouth and a front mouth of the slider, and a second base to be overlaid onto the first base.
