TAPE INCLUDING REACTIVE LAYER AND PROCESS FOR MAKING THE TAPE
The tape includes a backing, a reactive layer on the backing, and a pressure sensitive adhesive on the reactive layer. The reactive layer includes sulfur and a rubber at least partially crosslinked with polysulfide bonds. The pressure sensitive adhesive includes a hydrocarbon elastomer that is at least partially crosslinked and a tackifying resin. The process includes applying a dispersion of the rubber and sulfur to the backing, drying the dispersion to provide the reactive layer, and applying a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising the hydrocarbon elastomer and the tackifying resin as a hot melt on the reactive layer to provide the tape.

SEALANT COMPOSITION AND TIRE USING THE SAME
A sealant composition of the present invention includes a rubber component (A), a tackifier (B), and a plasticizer (C), in which the tackifier (B) has a softening point of 50 C. or higher, the plasticizer (C) has a dynamic viscosity at 40 C. of 2500 mm.sup.2/s or less, and a mass ratio of (C)/(B) of the plasticizer (C) to the tackifier (B) is 0.35 or more. Thus, the sealant composition can provide improved sealability, viscosity temperature dependency, and fluidity during storage of a tire.

Method and Device for Sealing and Inflating Inflatable Articles, and Sealing Agent
A method for sealing and inflating inflatable articles, in particular for sealing and inflating motor vehicle tires, wherein, by means of a compressor which is driven preferably by means of an electric motor, a sealing and pumping pressure is generated, wherein, by means of the sealing and pumping pressure, via a valve and distributor device for sealant and compressed gas and via compressed-air and sealant hoses between valve and distributor device and an entry valve or an inlet nozzle of the inflatable article, a sealant situated in a sealant vessel connected to the valve and distributor device is conveyed into the inflatable article and, at the same time, the inflatable article is inflated to a predefined operating pressure, wherein, by configuration of the corresponding parameters, of the sealant and of the device, in or downstream of the entry valve/the inlet nozzle, the sealant is at least partially atomized to form an aerosol by virtue of the sealant or the sealant-air mixture being converted, in the entry valve or in the inlet nozzle, into a turbulent flow with a Reynolds number R.sub.e22300.
