A fastening device is provided having a first magnetic aligning member comprising a first magnet and a female retention element, wherein the first magnetic aligning member is affixed to a first zipper track comprising a plurality of teeth; a second magnetic aligning member comprising a second magnet and a male retention element, wherein the second magnetic aligning member is affixed to a second zipper track comprising a plurality of teeth; and a sliding member. The sliding member slidably connects to the first zipper track, and lacks a locking pin.

A zipper includes a left zipper belt, a right zipper belt, and a square slider. Each of the left zipper belt and the right zipper belt is provided with a left stop member and a right stop member. The slider includes an upper fin, a lower fin, and a connection support rod. An anti-stick zipper cover includes a stiff plastic piece or a coating to increase the stiffness such that the anti-stick zipper cover will not be caught into the teeth of a zipper while zipping on and off the zipper. A tent includes a zipper to couple fabric pieces of the tent cloth and an anti-stick zipper cover to protect the zipper.

Open-ended slide fastener assemblies with improved operability. In some examples, the slide fastener assemblies are watertight and/or airtight. The slide fastener assemblies include one or more sliders and box and pin mechanisms integrated with the slide fastener. The pin mechanism need not be inserted into the box at the same time it is inserted into the slider, permitting the slide fastener to be operated even when it is not visible or easily accessible.
