One-side-protected polarizing film, pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer-attached polarizing film, image display device, and method for continuously producing same
The present invention pertains to a one-side-protected polarizing film having a protective film or films on only one surface of a polarizer, wherein: the polarizer contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, and is designed to have a single-body transmittance T and a polarization degree P representing optical properties satisfying the condition of the following formula: P>−(10.sup.0.929T−42.4−1)×100 (provided that T<42.3) or P≥99.9 (provided that T≥42.3), and the polarizer and a transparent resin layer have a thickness X (μm) and a thickness Y (μm), respectively, satisfying X≤12, Y≤15, and 0.15≤(Y/X)≤3. Even when the thin-type polarizer has prescribed optical properties, this one-side-protected polarizing film is capable of suppressing the occurrence of through cracks, nano-slit-induced defects and curling.
Method and system to provide a repositionable translucent cast vinyl film with an air-egress adhesive layer
Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of cast vinyl film and, more particularly, to a method and system to provide a repositionable translucent cast vinyl film with an air-egress adhesive layer. In one aspect, a method includes mixing a solvent based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol with a stabilizer and an additive to get a desired shade of pellucid tint of a translucent thermoplastic stretch wrap film. Further, the method includes casting the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol onto a film carrier and moving the film carrier through a plurality of ovens at varying temperatures to cure into a solid film. The cured solid film is laminated to an air-egress liner casted with a solvent-borne acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide ease of installation. The adhesive includes an air release patterning to allow escape of air from back of the film while repositioning the film around a complex shaped surface.

FULLY-ADHERED ROOF SYSTEM ADHERED AND SEAMED WITH A COMMON ADHESIVE
A roof system comprising a roof substrate, a first membrane including first and second opposed planar surfaces, and a second membrane including opposed first and second planar surfaces, where said second membrane is adhered to said roof substrate through an adhesive disposed on said roof-substrate contacting portion of the first membrane, and where said second membrane is adhered to said first membrane through said adhesive disposed on a lap portion of said second membrane.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET
Provided is a PSA sheet capable of suitably preventing bubble formation caused by outgassing. This invention provides a PSA sheet comprising a PSA layer that forms an adhesive face. In an aging test where the adhesive face is press-bonded to a glass plate and stored at 50° C. for 24 hours, the PSA sheet has at least 5% post-aging non-bonding area Sa, with Sa defined as the ratio of all areas non-bonding to the glass plate relative to the total area of the adhesive face. The non-bonding areas have parts linearly extending along the adhesive face.
HEAT CONSERVATION-INSULATING MATERIAL COATED WITH UV CURING-TYPE FILM AND HAVING MAXIMIZED HEAT EFFICIENCY, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to a heat conservation-insulating material which is coated with a UV film and has maximized heat efficiency, wherein: the material uses a thermosetting water-soluble acrylic adhesive to ensure the minimum uniform coating film thickness required for corrosion prevention of a pipe and strength reinforcement during curing and allow easy installation with flexibility and sufficient working time before the installation; and a surface of the insulating material is UV-coated and thermosetting-coated by dual-cure curing method so that even a part where light or ultraviolet rays cannot penetrate can be cured, a heat conservation-insulating material having vivid colors can be obtained even when dye and pigment are added to realize various colors, and the cutting processability is excellent to enable a uniform coating on various surfaces, such as metal, plastic, glass, ceramics, stone, wood, and various building materials, or even on sharply bent shapes.
MASKING TAPE FOR FORMING ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE SHIELD
Provided is a masking tape to be used at the time of formation of an electromagnetic wave shield, which is excellent in followability to irregularities, and which is capable of being peeled off from an irregular surface without any adhesive residue. The masking tape for forming an electromagnetic wave shield includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that is increased in modulus of elasticity through active energy ray irradiation to 20 times or more as high as that before the active energy ray irradiation, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a modulus of elasticity after the active energy ray irradiation of 500 MPa or less.
