Curable compound
Provided is a curable compound having a low melting temperature, having excellent workability as a result of having good solvent solubility, and being capable of forming a cured product having excellent heat resistance. The curable compound according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the following characteristics (a) to (e). (a) Number average molecular weight (calibrated with polystyrene standard): 1000 to 15000. (b) Proportion of a structure derived from an aromatic ring in the total amount of the curable compound: 50 wt. % or greater. (c) Solvent solubility at 25? C.: 1 g/100 g or greater. (d) Glass transition temperature: 280? C. or lower. (e) 5% Weight loss temperature (T.sub.d5) measured at a rate of temperature increase of 10? C./min (in nitrogen), for a cured product of the curable compound: 300? C. or higher.

The invention relates to a hydrogel comprising cross-linked copolymer chains, wherein some of the repetitive units of the copolymer are based on functionalized monomers that contain both a polymerizable group and a complexing group, wherein the functionalized monomers further contain a cationic group, and wherein the hydrogel comprises anions corresponding to said cationic groups.

The present invention provides coating compositions for forming a toner coating and inkjet receptive coatings on a substrate containing a film forming polymer comprising (a) a monomer (monomer A) comprising at least one functionalized or unfunctionalized acryloyl moiety and at least one lactam moiety. (b) a N-vinyl amide monomer (monomer B.sub.x1), (c) an optional cross-linker (monomer B.sub.x2) and (d) a solvent. The coating compositions may further comprise an additional hydrophobic monomer moiety. The present invention provides an adhesive composition comprising a tertiary amine group-containing acrylic copolymer and a sulfonate group-containing acrylic copolymer, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device comprising the adhesive composition. The adhesive composition of the present invention comprises a tertiary amine group-containing acrylic copolymer and a sulfonate group-containing acrylic copolymer wherein an ionic functional group can be introduced by cross-linking reaction thereof, thereby exhibiting good antistatic properties and excellent durability.
Functionalized 4- and 5-vinyl substituted regioisomers of 1, 2, 3-triazoles via 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddition and polymers thereof
The present invention provides novel functionalized mixtures 4- and 5-vinyl substituted regioisomers of 1,2,3-triazoles via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. Functionalized alkyne moieties with a terminal alcoholic functionality are reacted with functionalized organic moieties with a terminal leaving group and an azide to provide an alcoholic functionalized mixture of 4- and 5-substituted regioisomers of 1,2,3-triazole moieties. The mixture may be converted to a wide variety of useful functionalized mixtures of 4- and 5-vinyl substituted regioisomers of 1,2,3-triazole moieties, which in turn can be converted to a wide variety of useful polymers The novel alcoholic functionalized mixtures of 4- and 5-substituted regioisomers can be separated by chromatography to provide the purified 4- and 5-alcoholic functionalized substituted 1,2,3-triazole moieties. The novel compounds of the invention can be employed in a wide variety of compositions (Formulae (I), (II)); wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4, are defined herein. ##STR00001##

An adhesive film, an adhesive composition for the same, and a display member including the same are disclosed. The adhesive film includes a cured product of an adhesive composition, which includes a (meth)acrylic copolymer formed from a monomer mixture including (a1) an alkyl (meth)acrylate having a C.sub.1 to C.sub.17 alkyl group and (a2) an alkyl (meth)acrylate having an alkyl group having 18 or more carbon atoms. The adhesive film has a ratio (B/A) of 90 peel strength (B) after aging the adhesive film at 25 C. for 30 minutes and leaving the adhesive film at 90 C. for 40 seconds to 90 peel strength (A) after aging the adhesive film at 25 C. for 30 minutes of about 0.1 or less.
