ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND MASKING ARTICLE FOR PRODUCING PRECISE PAINT LINES
An adhesive article for masking a portion of a substrate surface from a liquid coating applied to the surface includes a support having first and second opposed major surfaces, and a cationic or zwitterionic adhesive composition disposed on at least a portion of at least one of the first and second opposed major surfaces. The adhesive composition provides a barrier that impedes the migration of the coating past the edge of the adhesive article.
TAPES WITH ELASTOMERIC BACKING LAYERS
Tapes including an elastomeric backing layer having two major surfaces, wherein the backing layer includes a high temperature resistant elastomer (e.g., a high consistency silicone rubber elastomer), and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive layer comprises a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive.
COATING LIQUID AND ARTICLE USING SAME
[Problem] To provide a coating film which is capable of maintaining good water repellency and antifouling properties. [Solution] A photopolymerizable coating composition which contains, as photopolymerizable components, a urethane (meth)acrylate (component (a)) and a photopolymerizable (meth)acrylic compound (component (b)), and which is configured such that: from 1% by weight to 50% by weight (inclusive) of the component (a) and from 50% by weight to 99% by weight (inclusive) of the component (b) relative to the total amount of the photopolymerizable components are mixed; and the component (b) contains a photopolymerizable acrylic compound (component (b1)) which has a structural unit derived from a fluorosilsesquioxane derivative represented by formula (1), a reactive silicone (component (b2)) and a photopolymerizable acrylic compound (component (b3)) which has no urethane unit, no fluorine atom and no Si atom.
SUBSTRATE FOR RELEASE SHEETS, AND RELEASE SHEET
The present invention relates to a substrate for release sheet including a support, an adhesion layer (X1), and a resin layer (Y1) containing polyethylene having a density of 930 kg/m.sup.3 or more and 960 kg/m.sup.3 or less in this order, wherein convex portions are present on the surface of the resin layer (Y1), and a difference in height of the convex portions is 0.5 m or more.
SURFACE PROTECTION FILM
A surface protection film includes an adhesion layer that includes a blend of a first hydrogenated styrene block copolymer, a second hydrogenated styrene block copolymer different from the first hydrogenated styrene block copolymer, and polyethylene. An Adhesion Build Value of the surface protection film is less than 2.5 after the adhesion layer has been attached to a textured polycarbonate substrate and heated to 90 C. for 10 minutes.
FILAMENT-BEARING MASKING TAPE
A filament-bearing masking tape extending longitudinally and formed from and including a filament and a base tape having a first edge and a second edge parallel to the first edge. The base tape includes a carrier having upper and lower sides and extending longitudinally with a first adhesive on the lower side having a first adhesive thickness, and a second adhesive having a second adhesive thickness greater than the first adhesive thickness on the upper side, and a release liner attached to the second adhesive. The filament-bearing masking tape is formed by (a) placing the filament on the lower adhesive layer, the filament extending longitudinally, parallel to the first edge of the base tape, at a filament distance from the first edge and closer to the first edge than to the second edge, and (b) folding a first portion of the base tape extending from the filament to the first edge under a second portion of the tape extending from the filament towards the second edge of the base tape so that the first adhesive on the first portion of the base tape contacts and binds to the first adhesive on the second portion of the base tape.
Biodegradable cellulose fiber-based substrate, its manufacturing process, and use in an adhesive tape
A biodegradable cellulose fiber-based substrate, at least one side of which is coated with a release coating including: a) at least one water-soluble polymer (WSP) containing hydroxyl groups, and b) at least one lactone substituted with at least one linear or branched and/or cyclic C.sub.8-C.sub.30 hydrocarbon chain which may contain heteroatoms. The biodegradable substrate is certified biodegradable in accordance with EN 13432. A method of production thereof is also disclosed.
PROTECTIVE FILM TAPE
Provided therefore herein is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for protecting a surface. The pressure sensitive tape includes a material substrate with a coating comprising an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene substance and a silicone substance.
SELF-ADHESIVE TAPE COMPRISING A PET SUBSTRATE WITH HIGH LAMINAR STRENGTH
The invention relates to an adhesive tape containing a substrate film, comprising at least one film layer, and at least one adhesive compound layer, the substrate film being biaxially oriented and at least one of the at least one film layers containing 80 to 99% by weight polyethylene terephthalate as the base polymer and 1 to 20% by weight, preferably 2 to 15% by weight, most preferably 5 to 10% by weight of an additive polymer, the weight percentages relating to the polymer component, characterized in that the additive polymer has a glass transition temperature T.sub.G that lies at least 10 K, preferably at least 20 K, below the glass transition temperature T.sub.G of polyethylene terephthalate.
