A dual lap high strength adhesive for sheet membrane application, having reflectivity granular particle layer to fully bond to concrete/shotcrete, and a method of making, and using same. More particularly, the invention encompasses a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with an inventive high strength adhesive, and having at least one layer of reflectivity granular particle layer that are partly embedded into the adhesive layer, and where the average reflectivity of the exposed granular particles is below 55 percent reflectivity on a standard reflectivity scale. The innovative reflectivity granular particle layer system that is securely bonded to concrete or shotcrete can be used along a wall, a floor, a ceiling, or along any structure which requires water or moisture proofing. The inventive high strength adhesive is along at least one edge of the sheet membrane, and could also be used to embed the reflectivity granular particle.

ADHESIVE BONDING OF BEAM AND NODE ASSEMBLIES

An assembly and a method are provided for manufacturing a joined assembly. A method for manufacturing includes fitting together and datuming a beam and a node, wherein at least one of the beam and the node is formed with an aperture, and wherein a cylindrical interface is formed between the beam and node. Further, the method includes advancing a mechanical fastener through the aperture to temporarily hold the beam and the node in an engagement. Also, the method includes injecting a structural adhesive into the cylindrical interface between the beam and the node. The method includes final joining the beam and the node by curing the structural adhesive.

A tape for applying to a building surface prior to painting with an architectural paint having a color and a texture in which the tape remains in place after completion of the painting is described. The tape includes a substrate sheet, a pressure sensitive adhesive, and a coating. The tape is configured such that a portion of the coated side of the tape has a color and a texture that is similar or the same as the color and texture of the architectural paint. In this way, the portion of the building surface covered by the tape produces the general appearance and feel of the painted building surface after completion of the painting.

Removable water barriers for inhibiting the ingress of water into a structure are provided. A barrier can be formed from a flexible sheet. The flexible sheet may include a first layer formed from non-woven polypropylene and a second layer formed from high density polyethylene. Adhesive strips may be pre-applied to a rear surface of the flexible sheet for adhering the sheet to a structure or adjacent sheets. A fold line may be provided, such that a lower portion of the sheet can be folded to extend outwards from an upper portion along the ground. Sandbags can be stacked on the lower portion for hold the flexible sheet in place and further inhibit the ingress of water. Also provided are methods for preventing the ingress of water using a flexible sheet.

This invention relates to a building envelope (100) comprising a fire resistant tape (20) and a fire resistant barrier material (10), wherein the fire resistant tape (20) seals a seam between a first sheet (10a) of the fire resistant barrier material and a second sheet (10b) of the fire resistant barrier material, wherein the fire resistant barrier material (10) comprises a metallic layer (13), a support layer (15) and a glue layer (14) between the metallic layer (13) and the support layer (15), and the fire resistant tape comprises a metallic layer (23), a support layer (25), a glue layer (24) between the metallic layer (23) and the support layer (25), and an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive coating layer (28) on the support layer (25). This invention further relates to a fire resistant seam tape.

Roofing membranes comprising pressure-sensitive adhesives and methods of using same

Provided are roofing membranes comprising pressure-sensitive adhesives particularly adapted for use at cold temperature, and methods for using same. In one aspect, the disclosure provides a roofing membrane comprising: a bituminous sheet having a lower bituminous surface and an upper bituminous surface; and a non-bituminous cold-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive disposed on the lower bituminous surface, the upper bituminous surface, or both, wherein the cold-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive has an average adhesion of at least 10 lbs/ft (146 N/m) at 2 C. as measured by a two hour T-peel test.
