SPECIAL IMINES AND THEIR STARTING MATERIALS, AND THEIR USE IN THE HARDENING OF REACTIVE RESINS BY POLYADDITION OR FREE-RADICAL POLYMERISATION
Imine, obtainable by reaction of (i) an amino-functionalised polyoxyalkylene, the polyoxyalkylene chains of which are a copolymer of oxyethylene and oxypropylene units, those polyoxyalkylene chains carrying primary amino groups (preferably two terminal primary amino groups per molecule), and (ii) a ketone and/or aldehyde having a hydrogen atom at the carbon atom in the alpha-position to the carbonyl carbon; and various subjects of the invention based thereon, especially in coating systems or adhesive systems.
Low-viscosity Thermosetting Starch Adhesive for Particleboards, and Preparation Method Therefore
The present disclosure discloses a low-viscosity thermosetting starch adhesive for particleboards, and a preparation method therefore, belonging to the technical field of adhesive preparation. The adhesive of the present invention selects N-hydroxyethyl acrylamide or acetoxyethyl methacrylate as the crosslinking monomer, which has a low degree of crosslinking in the process of adhesive preparation to avoid the problem of increasing viscosity, but can cross-link quickly during the hot pressing process, forming a network structure, and improving the water resistance of the adhesive; and furthermore, itaconic acid is added to promote the self-crosslinking reaction of the crosslinking monomer in the hot-pressing process, thus further improving the water resistance. The properties of the manufactured particleboards reach the standard of P2 type particleboards, so that the adhesive can be suitable for mass production and can be widely applied in the preparation of wood decoration, particleboards, plywood and fiberboard.
ADHESIVE MIXTURE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING WATER ACTIVATED STICK ON INSULATION
A self-stick insulation includes an insulation product and an adhesive coating applied to a major surface of the insulation product. The adhesive coating includes between about 5-15% by weight of the adhesive coating of at least one of polystyrene-maleic anhydride (SMA) and polyacrylic acid (PAA), between about 1 and 8% by weight of the adhesive coating of an alcohol amine, between about 25 and 50% by weight of the adhesive coating of a polyvinyl alcohol, and between about 20 and 40% by weight of the adhesive coating of a starch paste. The adhesive is activated with the application of liquid water.
ADHESIVES FOR LOW SURFACE ENERGY MATERIALS
A roofing system includes a roofing membrane. The roofing membrane has a surface energy of 40 mN/m or less. The roofing system includes a roofing substrate. The roofing system includes an adhesive disposed between the roofing membrane and the roofing substrate. The adhesive includes a styrenic block copolymer. The styrenic block copolymer is present in an amount of 0.5 wt. % to 30 wt. % based on a total weight of the adhesive. The adhesive includes asphalt. The asphalt is present in an amount of 70 wt. % to 99.5 wt. % based on the total weight of the adhesive. A ratio of the styrenic block copolymer to the asphalt in the adhesive is 1:11 to 1:3.
ADHESIVE FORMULATIONS FOR ROOFING APPLICATIONS AND RELATED METHODS
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an adhesive formulation comprising a high viscosity silyl modified polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may further comprise additional components, such as but not limited to, at least one moisture scavenger, at least one adhesion promoter, at least one catalyst, at least one filler, at least one plasticizer, at least one antioxidant, or any combination thereof. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may exclude a low viscosity polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may include a low viscosity polymer in no more than a specified amount. At least one method of using the adhesive formulation and at least one roofing system comprising the adhesive formulation are also described herein.
Composite cooling film comprising a reflective nonporous organic polymeric layer and a UV-protective layer
A composite cooling film including a reflective nonporous inorganic-particle-filled organic polymeric layer, an ultra-violet-protective layer or layers, and an antisoiling layer.
Building panels and method of building construction
A set of structurally insulated panels and method of building construction, the set of panels having an indexing system that allows for any one panel to be easily attached to any other panel via indexing pins placed in pre-arranged openings. The indexing system enables essentially any number of panels to be assembled in essentially any reasonable manner to construct a building structure.
Roofing membranes and related methods
Some embodiments relate to a roofing membrane. The roofing membrane comprises a scrim. The scrim has a top surface and a bottom surface. The roofing membrane comprises a cap layer on the top surface of the scrim. The cap layer comprises a first non-styrenic polypropylene polymer, a first polypropylene impact copolymer, and a first olefin block copolymer. The roofing membrane comprises a core layer on the bottom surface of the scrim. The core layer comprises a second non-styrenic polypropylene polymer, a second polypropylene impact copolymer, and a second olefin block copolymer. The roofing membrane is configured to prevent migration of at least one oil from a layer to the roofing membrane. Some embodiments relate to a roofing structure comprising the roofing membrane, a method for installing the roofing membrane, and the like.
