APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR CUSTOMIZING SEAMS OF A SPORT BALL
A tape is disclosed for use with a ball having a seam, wherein the seam has a predetermined seam color. The tape includes an adhesive layer formed of an adhesive material configured to attach to the seam, and a carrier layer formed of a carrier layer material, wherein the carrier layer has a custom color that is different than the predetermined seam color. Additionally, methods are disclosed for customizing a color of the seam of the ball using multiple tape segments. Still further, a kit is disclosed that includes the ball, a first tape having a first custom color, and a second tape having a second custom color.
ADHESIVE WALL MOUNT SYSTEMS CONFIGURED FOR SEQUENTIAL RELEASE OF ADHESIVE
An adhesive mounting system is configured such that segments of the adhesive system will sequentially release upon application of a pull force or other removal force.
TEMPORARY MASKING FILM DRAPE WITH REVERSE ADHESIVE
A temporary surface masking film is provided with an adhesive tape that faces outwardly, thereby dramatically improving the process of application. At least the film may be transparent or translucent and the film may be accordion-folded onto the roll. The width of the film may be in the range of 1 to 12 feet. The roll may be retained in a plastic carrier, with a serrated edge for cutting the film. The roll may be coupled to an axial handle, and the roll and handle are provided in a plastic carrier. A method includes adhering a portion of the outwardly facing adhesive tape to a surface to be protected. The film is then unrolled such that it unfolds, hangs down and clings to the surface. The film may then be cut when the surface to be protected is sufficiently covered. Conveniently, the inventive film may be applied by a single user.
FLEXIBLE HARDGOODS WITH ENHANCED PEEL REMOVABILITY
The present disclosure provides adhesive mounting articles that can be removed from surfaces without damage by having reduced contribution of a hardgood to the peel force generated by the adhesive article during removal. In some instances, this can be accomplished by a hardgood that is flexible in a peel direction and rigid in a weight hanging direction. Such hardgoods may include a plurality of minimally connected body segments arranged about the transverse axis of the hardgood body.
Photosensitive medical tape
A photosensitive medical tape includes a backing layer that is at least partially transparent to a first spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. The photosensitive medical tape also includes a coupling layer disposed on a first side of the backing layer to provide adhesion of the photosensitive medical tape to the human skin. The photosensitive medical tape is disposed to absorb a second spectrum of electromagnetic radiation to decrease a strength of the adhesion provided by the coupling layer. The photosensitive medical tape is also flexible.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPE
The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, including: an acrylic copolymer and a crosslinking agent. The acrylic copolymer is a reaction product of a mixture of the following monomers: a first alkyl (meth)acrylate, an alkyl group in the first alkyl (meth)acrylate having at least 6 carbon atoms; a second alkyl (meth)acrylate, an alkyl group in the second alkyl (meth)acrylate having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and a vinyl carboxylic acid, the weight ratio of the vinyl carboxylic acid to the mixture being 4% to 5%. The crosslinking agent is an organometallic chelating agent. The weight ratio of the organometallic chelating agent to the mixture is 0.05% to 0.25%. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition does not contain an effective amount of a tackifier. The present invention further provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive solution, a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, and a method for preparing the same. The pressure-sensitive adhesive of the present invention is a removable pressure-sensitive adhesive, and is applicable in hot weather and cold weather, and the adhesiveness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive does not decrease over time.
FILM STACK, KIT COMPOSED OF FILM STACK AND ADHESIVE TAPE, AND A COVERING TAPE AND A METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
Masking film stacks, kits composed of said film stacks, adhesive tapes, and covering tapes, and methods for producing said stacks and kits are provided. The masking film stacks comprise masking films having widths and lengths, wherein the masking films are foldable along folding lines, running along the lengths, to form double-ply-folded masking films such that two free longitudinal edges of the double-ply-folded masking films run adjacent to each another and the double-ply masking films are foldable to form stacks and the two longitudinal edges lie on the masking film stacks.
STICKING COMPONENT
A sticking component that includes: a sheet-shaped adhesive component having first and second sticking surfaces with adhesiveness opposed to each other, the first sticking surface constructed to be removably adhered to a bottom surface of a stick-on biometric device; a first release component removably adhered to the first sticking surface of the sticking component; and a second release component removably adhered to the second sticking surface of the sticking component, wherein at least one of the first release component or the second release component has an outline that is visible, and that, when the sticking component is to be adhered to the stick-on biometric device, at least partially overlaps an outline of the bottom surface of the stick-on biometric device in a plan view of the sticking component.
Methods of assembling apparel products having thioester adhesives
Embodiments provide methods for assembling an apparel product. The methods include applying a composition to a portion of a major component of the apparel product or a portion of a minor component of the apparel product. The methods include applying the portion of the minor component with the portion of the major component via the composition. The major component forms a base portion of the apparel product and is configured to be supported and worn at least partially over a portion of a wearer. The minor component forms a secondary portion configured to be coupled to the major component with an adhesive. The methods include converting the composition to the adhesive to form the apparel product. The adhesive includes a material having a thioester bond.
DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE TAPE
A double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape includes an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, wherein the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive is formed from an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, wherein the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains an acrylic partially polymerized product obtained by polymerizing a monomer component (m1), a monomer component (m2), a cross-linking agent, and a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the monomer component (m2) contains an alkyl (meth)acrylate having, at an ester terminal thereof, an alkyl group having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, and a polymerizable monomer whose corresponding homopolymer has a Tg of 0° C. or more, wherein in the monomer component (m2), a content of the polymerizable monomer whose corresponding homopolymer has a Tg of 0° C. or more is from 10 parts by weight to 90 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the alkyl (meth)acrylate having, at an ester terminal thereof, an alkyl group having 4 to 10 carbon atoms.
