An assembly and/or an edge configuration of a wristband is described herein. In some implementations, a wristband may include a first end portion formed from a first perforated cut in a sheet of material. The first end portion is disposed on a first end of the wristband. The wristband may include a second end portion formed from a second perforated cut in the sheet of material. The second end portion may be disposed on a second end of the wristband that is opposite the first end. The wristband may include a strap portion formed from a percentage cut in the sheet of material. The strap portion may be disposed between the first end portion and the second end portion.

A wearable device assembly has a housing supporting a controller and a display. The display may comprise one or more light guides, where each guide is operatively coupled to an LED. Each LED may light the edge of a guide such that a refraction surface is illuminated. The controller may selectively illuminate the one or more light guides using the LEDs to indicate a level of activity of the user.

A wrist-worn physical activity measurement apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a bracelet comprising a plurality of links, each link being formed at one side to comprise a part and at the opposite side a counterpart interlocking with a part of an adjacent link, and a flexible casing encasing the plurality of the links. The apparatus is attachable around a curvature of a wrist of a user such that the links and the adjacent links are pivotably lockable in relation to each other in order to wrap and lock around the wrist.

A method for signaling an indication with a light emitting diode (LED)-equipped flexible wristband. The wristband is adjustably sizable for use with different wearers and includes at least one LED. A housing may be disposed on the wristband comprising a first LED, a second LED, and a battery for energizing the first and second LEDs. The method includes pressing selected portions of the wristband to selectively energize the first and second LEDs. The housing is embedded in the wristband. Pressing a selected first portion of the wristband physically closes a first circuit between the first LED and the battery. Pressing a selected second portion of the wristband physically closes a second circuit between the second LED and the battery. Energizing the first LED signals a first indication. Energizing the second LED signals a second indication.
