ADHESIVE HAVING INCREASED BONDING STRENGTH
Articles having a thermal imprinted adhesive on a substrate of a plurality of certain conicals have improved bonding strength.
TOUCH SCREEN SHIELD
A shield that is attachable to a touch sensitive screen is disclosed. The shield may be attached to the touch sensitive screen only at its outer peripheral portion. An air gap is enclosed between the shield and the touch sensitive screen to form a planar air bearing. The shield preferably does not touch the active area of the touch sensitive screen when the user is not touching the shield but only viewing the touch sensitive screen through the shield. This mitigates unwanted optical artifacts such as trapped air bubbles, Newton rings and chromatic interference while maintaining the sensitivity of the touch sensitive screen.
DIGITALLY PRODUCED LABEL TRANSFER USING SELECTIVE LASER SINTERING (SLS) METHODS
A heat transferable label component for a garment or other clothing item or article is disclosed which is preferably produced using all digitally controlled manufacturing methods. The label component comprises a carrier layer, a release layer, an optional primer layer, a color design layer, a transition layer and at least one adhesive layer. The color design layer displays an image on the label, and the transition layer fixates the image and renders it wash and/or wear resistant. The at least one adhesive layer is positioned on the transition layer, and is preferably applied thereto via a selective laser sintering (SLS) process, wherein a powder layer is spread on the surface and fused with a laser. The adhesive layer can be a double layer comprising a white reactive adhesive layer that undergoes a crosslink reaction to become a thermoset and a substantially clear thermoplastic adhesive layer.

Tape for insulation jacket and method of insulating an object
A multilayer tape assembly is described which can be used with insulation jacketing and particularly for self-sealing lap (SSL) applications. The tape assembly includes two adhesive layers with associated carrier and release layers in conjunction with a differential release system. Various methods of use are also described, including a method of insulating an object.
ADHESIVE FILM FOR TINTING AUTOMOTIVE LENSES AND METHOD
A tint wrap for an automotive lens comprises a tint film defining an inner face comprising a dry applied adhesive overlaying a back liner defining an embossed pattern formation of peaks and valleys. This formation forms in the adhesive contiguous air channels with flat areas interposed therebetween. The air channels are connected at intersections about the flat areas and respectively define a top wall, a bottom opening and spaced apart lateral walls therebetween. The height of the channel is defined between the top wall and the bottom opening and the width between the lateral walls. The air channel width is greater than the air channel height anywhere along the air channel height. When the tint film is removed from the back liner and is mounted to the automotive lens for wrapping thereof, the air channels provide for air between the tint film and the automotive lens to be released via the peripheral edges and wherein the air channels collapse for providing the top wall of the air channels to engage the automotive lens.
Glove with dry-adhesive and dry-non-adhesive micro-wedges
A glove with gecko-inspired dry adhesives is provided to greatly reduce the required grasp force on heavy, smooth items. The orientation of the gecko adhesives is designed to increase shear forces between the glove and the object when lifting and manipulating. The invention additionally equips the non-gripping surfaces of the glove (e.g. back and sides) with a non-adhesive microstructure that prevents the glove from accidently adhering to surfaces during unintentional contact, even when touching otherwise sticky materials such as adhesive-coated automotive panels.

Anisotropic Stretch Release Tape
A computing system includes a computing component connected to a housing with an anisotropic stretch release tape. The anisotropic stretch release tape includes a backing having an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface includes an upper PSA layer and the lower surface includes a lower PSA layer. The anisotropic stretch release tape includes a first removal force in a first direction that is at least 50% less than a second removal force in a second direction.
