POLYPROPYLENE BONDING ADHESIVE AND PROCESS
20210122955 · 2021-04-29 ·

A two-part polyurethane adhesive exhibits excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates such as polypropylene. The adhesive consists of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component that are combined and cured to form the adhesive bond. The polyol component is characterized in containing a monoalcohol that has a molecular weight of 100 to 2000. The presence of the monoalcohol promotes strong bonding and a cohesive failure mode that is preferred in vehicular applications.

SILICONE RELEASE FILM, AND PROTECTIVE FILM COMPRISING SAME FOR ADHESIVE FILM AND ADHESIVE TAPE

Provided are a silicone release film and a protective film for adhesive films and adhesive tapes including the same. The silicone release film may provide excellent delamination characteristics in various peel-off speed ranges regardless of external environmental changes, such as passage of time or temperature changes.

Flame Retardant Adhesive Composition

This invention relates to adhesive compositions and more particularly to (meth)acrylic adhesive compositions for electrical device such as with improved bonding strength, thermal conductivity as well as flame retardancy.

ROOM TEMPERATURE CURABLE COMPOSITIONS

A room temperature curable sealant/adhesive composition is disclosed. The room temperature curable sealant/adhesive composition comprises: A) one or more organopolysiloxanes; B) a hydrophilic material; C) a cross-linker; D) a titanate catalyst and/or a zirconate catalyst; and E) one or more optional ingredients. A silicone elastomer formed therefrom and related methods are also disclosed. In general, such compositions (upon several hours of contact with water) do not repel water, but rather retain and pick-up water and/or can be wetted by aqueous materials subsequent to exposure.

Adhesive sheet

An adhesive sheet comprising a hot-melt adhesive layer. The hot-melt type adhesive layer comprises a modified polymer (A) to which a cross-linkable group is bonded and a polyolefin (B). The adhesive sheet can adhere to various adherends and the adhesive becomes less likely to squeeze out from an adherend in thermal fusion bonding and sealing of the adherend. In a laminate comprising the adhesive sheet the adhesive layer does not squeeze out from the adherend without being affected by the material of the adherend.

AQUEOUS ADHESIVE FOR INORGANIC MATERIALS

A discrete piece forming device EA that forms discrete pieces CP by dividing a work WF into pieces includes: a sheet pasting unit 10 which pastes, on the work WF, an adhesive sheet AS containing swell grains SG that swell when predetermined energy IR is applied; a modified part forming unit 20 which forms modified parts MT in the work WF to form, in the work WF, predefined discrete piece areas WFP each surrounded by the modified parts MT; and a dividing unit 30 which divides the work WF into pieces by forming, in the work WF, cracks CK starting from the modified parts MT by applying external force to the work WF, to form the discrete pieces CP. The dividing unit 30 applies the energy IR to parts of the adhesive sheet AS to swell the swell grains SG contained in adhesive sheet parts ASP to which the energy IR has been applied, thereby displacing the predefined discrete piece areas WFP pasted on the adhesive sheet parts ASP to form the discrete pieces CP.

ADHESIVE TAPE AND ARTICLE

A problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an adhesive tape capable of maintaining excellent adhesive strength for a long time even when sweat, sebum, an alcohol, or the like adheres thereto. The present invention relates to an adhesive tape having an adhesive layer containing an acrylic adhesive, the acrylic adhesive including an acrylic copolymer, in which the acrylic copolymer contains, as constituent components, (A) 5 to 20% by mass of a carboxyl group-containing monomer, (B) 0.01 to 1% by mass of a hydroxyl group-containing monomer, and (C) one or two or more selected from the group consisting of other alkyl (meth)acrylate monomers and alicyclic monomers, in which the average number of carbon atoms of saturated hydrocarbon groups included in the monomers (C) is 4 or less.
