Articles with an Adhesive Layer
The present disclosure provides an article. The article includes an adhesive layer with two opposing surfaces. The adhesive layer includes (i) a functionalized ethylene-based polymer having a melt index from 0.1 g/10 min to 300 g/10 min; (ii) from 0.01 wt % to 45 wt % of a functionalized hydrocarbon; (iii) a tackifier; and (iv) optionally, a crosslinking agent.
Low application temperature hot melt adhesive composition and a method including the same
The invention features a hot melt adhesive composition that can be applied at temperatures as low as 107 C., while maintaining excellent bonding under stress and a very fast setting time.
Printable Medium Including Glitter
A printable glitter paper includes a first adhesive layer onto which glitter has been deposited, and a second adhesive layer covering the first adhesive layer and glitter. A coating covers the second adhesive layer. Another adhesive layer covers the back side of the printable glitter paper. The printable glitter paper provides excellent retention of the glitter, and a high level of smoothness for high quality printing.
AIR AND WATER BARRIER ARTICLE INCLUDING INELASTIC POROUS LAYER
The air and water barrier article includes a polymer-coated inelastic porous layer including a water-vapor permeable polymeric coating disposed on at least one major surface of the inelastic porous layer and an adhesive disposed on a major surface of the polymer-coated inelastic porous layer. The inelastic porous layer can include at least one of surface-modified fibers or natural cellulose fibers. The polymer-coated inelastic porous layer can at least one of a water strike through time of not more than 180 seconds or an absorbance capacity of at least one-half gram per 116 square centimeters. The adhesive may be exposed, in contact with a release surface, or adhered to a surface of a building component. A method of applying the air and water barrier article to a surface of a building component is also disclosed.
Solvent-based compostable cold seal release lacquer
The present invention provides solvent-based compostable cold seal release lacquers for use in packaging structures. The lacquers of the invention comprise resins, such as polyamide resins, comprising greater than 90% biobased carbon, generally prepared from renewable sources, e.g., plants such as rice. The present invention also provides the use of the inventive compostable lacquers as cold seal release lacquers in cold seal packaging, along with eco-friendly packaging film, etc., and has the potential to make the cold seal packaging fully compostable.
LABEL CONSTRUCTIONS FOR WET APPLICATIONS
Label constructions exhibiting improved ice bucket performance, wet and/or dry opacity, delta opacity, show through, adhesive strength, and/or channeling/label movement are described herein. In some embodiments, the construction has a delta opacity is less than or equal to 10%. The label constructions described herein can be used on a variety of different substrate materials including glass and plastic. In some embodiments, the label constructions are used on glass, such as glass bottled, e.g., wine, beer, and spirits bottles. In some embodiments, the label constructions described herein are used on beverage bottles that are likely to be immersed in water, particularly cold water, for an extend period of time.
ADHESIVE SHEET
A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet may include a base material and a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive layer which contains a softener, and further include a barrier layer disposed between the base material and the hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive layer, the barrier layer containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyester-based resin, a polyurethane-based resin, and a polyolefin-based resin. The polyester-based resin may be at least one of a polyester resin or a modified polyester resin.
Method for manufacturing thermoplastic poly(vinyl alcohol) derivative in a melt state reaction and products thereof
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing thermoplastic poly(vinyl alcohol) derivative in a melt state reaction and a product thereof, wherein the method thermoplastic poly(vinyl alcohol) that has been dried is heated and admixed with an organic acid anhydride that has a catenated carbon structure which ends into a vinyl group, such that a mixture is obtained which is above the melting point of the mixture, thereby causing an ester bond forming condensation reaction in a melt state, wherein at least some of the organic acid anhydride reacts with hydroxyl groups of the thermoplastic poly(vinyl alcohol), such that reaction product is formed which contains carboxylic acid residue and thermoplastic poly(vinyl alcohol) derivative which contains ester bonded pendant chains of which at least some end into vinyl groups. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a paper substrate and a product thereof, which contains a primer layer that contains the reaction product.
SHOCK ABSORBER, CORROSION PREVENTION MATERIAL, HEAT INSULATING MATERIAL, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SHOCK ABSORBER
A shock absorber is provided, that includes an adhesive tape portion, a base material stacked on the adhesive tape portion, and a polyurea resin layer stacked on the base material, wherein the polyurea resin layer is divided into a plurality of regions by a cut. A corrosion prevention material and a heat insulating material also include the same adhesive tape portion, the same base material, and the same polyurea resin layer.
