RECYCLABLE POLYETHYLENE COLD SEAL FILM FOR FOOD PACKAGING
20240367423 · 2024-11-07 ·

A polyethylene cold seal film includes a main body layer constituted by a polyethylene film, a cold seal adhesive externally exposed on one side of the main body layer, and a cold seal release layer externally exposed on an opposing side of the main body layer, with the cold seal release layer also being constituted by a polyethylene film. The film can be advantageously provided in roll form, particularly usable in wrapping food products, with the wrapping being completely and readily recyclable, while being at least essentially void of any polypropylene polymers. The overall film can also have other layers, including a tie layer positioned between the main body layer and the cold seal release layer, a barrier layer positioned between the main body layer and the tie layer; and an ink layer positioned between the tie layer and the cold seal release layer.

ADHESIVE SHEET

A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet including a base material, a metallized layer, and a rubber-based hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive layer in this order, the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet further including a coating layer disposed between the metallized layer and the rubber-based hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive layer and containing a polyester-based resin.

METHOD FOR IMPROVIING DAMPENING PERFORMANCE OF THIN FILMS

A dampening structure includes a polymer layer having a first surface and a second surface. The first surface includes a plurality of micro-structures, wherein each of the micro-structures has a width of less than about 400 microns. An elastic modulus of the polymer layer is greater than about 0.1 MPa and less than about 5 GPa at 25 C. The polymer layer is non-tacky.

Self-Adhering Underlayment Sheets to Form Waterproofing Joints, Related Building Assemblies and Methods

As described herein, the invention includes a building underlayment sheet that comprises an underlayment lamina having a top surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface includes an interior portion and a selvage portion that extends from the interior portion of the bottom surface to a terminal distal edge of the sheet and the interior portion of the bottom surface bears a self adhesive layer. The selvage portion of the bottom surface bears a bonding composition that is capable of bonding to a top surface of a second underlayment lamina to form a full lap joint. In some embodiments, the self adhesive layer includes an asphalt, a polymer such as poly(styrene-butadiene-styrene)(SBS), and a tackifier, and/or the bonding composition includes asphalt, a polymer such as poly(styrene-butadiene-styrene), ground tire rubber (GTR), and tackifier. Also included are building assemblies that include the application of one or more of the underlayment sheets to a building surface, such as a roof surface and methods of installing the underlayment and waterproofing a roof surface.

NON-SILICONE AND NON-FLUORINE RELEASE COATING COMPRISING POLYMER BINDERS AND MICRO BEADS
20250243387 · 2025-07-31 ·

Provided here is a release coating composition, comprising of at least one polymer binder and one or more micro-beads, wherein the amount of the micro-beads is in the range of 1 vol % to 85 vol % of the total dry volume of the release coating composition. The release coating composition enables recycling of release liner substrates provides high quality printing and utilizable in self-wound label laminate construction with no liner.

Masking film with improved adhesion stability

A masking film includes an adhesion layer that includes at least one hydrogenated styrene block copolymer and an adhesive surface having a surface roughness (Sa) of greater than about 2.0 m. An Adhesion Build Value of the masking film is less than about 2.0 after the adhesion layer has been attached to a textured polycarbonate substrate and heated to 85 C. for 30 minutes.
