Watch strap
A watch strap includes a substantially inflexible main portion, a flexible auxiliary portion coupled to the substantially inflexible main portion, and a tightener coupled to the flexible auxiliary portion. When in use, the tightener is configured to maintain a selected tightness, and the flexible auxiliary portion is configured to be elastic.
Strap for a wearable electronic device and a wearable electronic device comprising the same
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a strap for a wearable electronic device. The strap features two mutually superposed layers of a strip having microfiber base material.
Techniques for power control using carrier aggregation in wireless communications
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for managing transmissions using multiple component carriers (CCs) in which transmissions using one or more of the CCs may span less than a full transmission time of a slot or other transmission time interval. A UE may signal a capability to transmit such transmissions, and one or more capabilities related to carrier aggregation that may be used by a base station for scheduling of transmissions on different CCs. In the event that overlapping transmissions on two or more CCs exceed a maximum power threshold, various techniques for dropping at least a portion of one or more transmissions of one or more CCs are described.
Extendable ornamental article
An extendable ornamental article comprises an open annular element having two ends that can be moved toward and away from each other along a circumferential direction; a guide element coupled to the annular element and configured to allow the ends to slide therein; a limit stop member configured to limit the movement of the two ends toward each other along the circumferential direction; the ornamental article is characterized in that the annular element can be elastically deformed in a reversible manner along the circumferential direction.
Wearable band and wearable display apparatus
A wearable band of a size and length suitable to be positioned around a limb, or other body part, of a user, said band comprising a flexible bistable strip movable between a first state, in which it is substantially axially straight, and a second, ring-like state, and having a yield point, said band being configured such that generally radial application of pressure exceeding said yield point to an end of said hand causes it to move, under its own tension, from said first state to said second state, wherein a portion of the length of said bistable strip at a free end thereof has a progressively reducing width and/or thickness such that the tensile force in said portion, when said band is in said first configuration, gradually lessens along said portion toward said free end.
Implementing time display on a watch based on whether a wearer has looked at the watch
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for displaying information, a program, and a communication system, which enable the provision of an apparatus making use of a display device excellent in flexibility. An information display apparatus includes a display unit including a time information presenting section for presenting at least time information and a band section to be worn on an arm, and a display control unit for changing a display of the display unit. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, the information display apparatus.
BRUNNIAN LINK MAKING DEVICE AND KIT
A Brunnian link is a link formed from a closed loop doubled over itself to capture another closed loop to form a chain. The example kit provides for the successful creation of unique wearable articles using Brunnian link assembly techniques and includes several pin bars that are supported in a desired special orientation by at least one base. The desired special orientation is dependent on the desired linked configuration of the completed article. The pins may be assembled in various combination and orientations to provide endless variation of completed link orientations.
Pass-through ratcheting mechanism
The disclosed adjustable strap apparatus may include a left strap having a first rack member and a right strap having a second rack member. An electrical unit may have an opening through which a shaft passes. A pinion member may be affixed to a proximal end of the shaft and may be adapted to (a) engage the first rack member and the second rack member and (b) translate the first rack member and the second rack member in opposite directions via rotation of the shaft. A ratcheting member may be coupled to a distal end of the shaft and may include one or more pawls adapted to prevent rotation of the shaft when engaged. Various other methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.
Resin member and wearable band
A resin member has a longitudinal direction, includes a stretchable portion having an extending portion extending in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction, when the resin member is stretched in the longitudinal direction, an angle at which the extending portion extends changes, and the material of the stretchable portion contains cellulose fibers and a resin.
JEWELRY PIECE
An item of jewelry has a main body with a first and second end, which, in the closed state, is located opposite the first end. The main body defines a through-opening and the two ends of the main body can be moved away from one another to form a through-opening. The main body has a channel, in which at least one resiliently elastic element is movably arranged. The first end of at least one connecting element is fastened directly or indirectly on the first end of the main body, and which extends over a free space between the first and the second ends of the main body in the open state. When the first and second ends of the main body are moved apart the resulting activation of the resiliently elastic element generates a restoring force which moves the two ends of the main body towards one another.
