Self-adhering sealing device with an adhesive sealant layer
A sealing device includes a waterproofing membrane, an adhesive sealant layer, and optionally a release liner, wherein the adhesive sealant layer includes at least one elastomer, at least one at 25? C. liquid polyolefin resin, and at least one inert mineral filler. An adhesive sealant composition is used to form the adhesive sealant layer. The sealant device may be used to waterproof a substrate and provide a fully-adhered roof system. The adhesive sealant composition may be used to provide a self-healing roofing membrane.
Bonding method and conveyor belt
A method is provided for adhering prescribed adherend rubbers to one another using a rubber for adhesion obtained from a rubber composition for adhesion containing an ethylene--olefin copolymer (X2) and an organic peroxide (Y2) at the adhesion interface between the adherend rubbers. The ethylene--olefin copolymer (X2) contained in the rubber composition for adhesion contains an ethylene-1-butene copolymer. The ethylene-1-butene copolymer satisfies prescribed values of the number average molecular weight and the molecular weight distribution. The content of the ethylene-1-butene copolymer is from 60 to 100 mass % of the total mass of the ethylene--olefin copolymer (X2).
Adhesive composition and laminate with adhesive layer using same
An adhesive composition, which exhibits excellent adhesion to base films made from polyimide resins and the like or copper foils, as well as superior electrical properties, and a laminate having an adhesive layer, which is low in warpage when the adhesive layer is in the B stage, and which is excellent in storage stability of the laminate, are provided. The adhesive composition includes a modified polyolefin-based resin and an epoxy resin, in which the modified polyolefin-based resin is a resin resulting from graft-modification of an unmodified olefin resin with a modifying agent containing an ,-unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative thereof, wherein the content of the modified polyolefin-based resin is 50 parts by mass or more relative to 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the adhesive composition; the content of the epoxy resin is from 1 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the modified polyolefin-based resin; and the dielectric constant of a cured body of the adhesive is less than 2.5 as measured at a frequency of 1 GHz.
PEEL AND STICK ROOFING MEMBRANES WITH CURED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVES
A membrane composite comprising a polymeric membrane panel, an adhesive layer, and a release member, where the adhesive layer is a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is at least partially cured, and where the adhesive layer has a thickness of at least 102 m
FOAMABLE HOT MELT ADHEISVE COMPOSITIONS AND USE THEREOF
The invention relates to a foamable hot melt adhesive composition, method of foaming the foamable hot melt adhesive composition, and method of using the foamed hot melt adhesive composition. The foamed hot melt adhesive provides a reliable adhesion with high heat resistance for packaging applications. The present invention provides an environmentally and economically sound adhesive that provides sufficient adhesion to the packages upon which it is being applied.
Shrinkable Thermoplastic Vulcanizate and Method and Article
A process of heat shrinking an article is provided. The process includes shaping a thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) into an article, the TPV having: a partially vulcanized rubber dispersed in a continuous thermoplastic phase, wherein more than 5 wt % of the rubber is extractable in boiling xylene, and wherein the thermoplastic phase comprises a thermoplastic resin having a Tm>110 C. and a propylene-based elastomer (PBE) having a Tm<110 C.; and heating the article to a temperature between about 100 C. and 250 C. to shrink the article.
Directly attaching, halogen-free, fast-drying, heat-sealing binder for sealing polyester films to polystyrene, polyester or PVC
The present invention comprises a single-component binder for heat-sealing applications which can be used for the sealing of polyester foils, in particular of polyethylene terephthalate foils (PET foils) with respect to containers made of polystyrene, of PVC, and of polyester. These polyesters can in particular be polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polylactic acid (PLA). The binders here feature not only good seal seam strengths but also in particular good transparency and excellent application properties. A substantive aspect of the invention is that the sealing can be achieved without addition of adhesion promoters, in particular without addition of adhesion promoters based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or on polyester, and that barrier properties and sealing properties achieved in respect of containers made of PS and of PET are nevertheless at least comparable with, and sometimes better than, those achieved with heat-sealing systems already marketed.
Seal Coated Devices
An activatable material coated device comprising a device and an activatable material, comprising at least about 5.5% or greater blowing agent, blowing agent accelerator or both. The activatable material is milled into a particulate size of from about 500 microns to about 10000 microns and the device is heated to a temperature of at least about 30? C. but below an activation temperature of the activatable material and contacted with the particulate of the activatable material, adhering the activatable material to the device.
ADHESION PROMOTING COMPOSITION FOR AN ANTI-CORROSION PRODUCT
An adhesion promoting composition for an anti-corrosion includes about 20% by weight to about 70% by weight of at least one polyolefin selected from polyethylene and/or polypropylene; about 20% by weight to about 65% by weight of at least one butyl rubber; and about 6% by weight to about 35% by weight of at least one elastomer selected from a group comprising ethylene-propylene-rubber and/or ethylene-propylene-diene rubber; each based on the total quantity of the adhesion promoting composition.
Peel and stick roofing membranes with cured pressure-sensitive adhesives
A membrane composite comprising a polymeric membrane panel, an adhesive layer, and a release member, where the adhesive layer is a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is at least partially cured, and where the adhesive layer has a thickness of at least 102 m.
