RELEASE LINER AND A LABEL LAMINATE
This specification relates to a release liner (101, 201) for a label. Further, the specification relates to a label laminate (210), to its use as well as to a method of manufacturing the label laminate. The solution aims at reducing or eliminating build-up of static electricity on label laminates, especially during printing and converting processes. The release liner (101, 201) comprises a paper-based substrate (102, 202), the paper-based substrate (102, 202) having a first surface (102a) and a second surface (102b). The first surface (102a) comprises a release coating (103, 203) and the second surface (102b) comprises an antistatic coating (104, 204). The antistatic coating (104, 204) comprises a binder and an anti-blocking agent.
TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE HAVING SUBSTANTIALLY TEMPERATURE-INDEPENDENT MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AND HIGH STRENGTH
A two-component polyurethane composition containing at least 55% by weight of polybutadiene polyols based on the total amount of all polyols having an average molecular weight of at least 500 g/mol, and at least one latent hardener, where the ratio of the number of reactive groups in the latent hardener to the number of OH groups present is in the range from 0.02 to 0.4. The composition has a long open time, blister-free curing, a very low glass transition temperature, high elasticity and surprisingly high strength which is very constant over a wide temperature range. Furthermore, it has very good adhesion to metallic and nonmetallic substrates, causing barely any stress cracks on glassy thermoplastics.
MULTILAYER SHEET AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
A multilayer sheet includes: a substrate layer (A) that includes 40 to 99.9% by mass of a polyphenylene ether (a1), 0 to 59.9% by mass of a polystyrene (a2), and an amino group-containing polymer (a3); and an adhesive layer (B) that includes an acid-modified polyolefin.
Double coated tape
Provided are double-coated tapes that include, in the following order: a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; a first plastic skin layer; an elastic base layer; a second plastic skin layer; and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The provided double-coated adhesive tapes can provide a combination of high bond strength, reworkability, and high impact and shock resistance, and can be easily converted using a die cutting process.
CURE OF ANAEROBIC COMPOSITIONS
A bonding system for bonding a plastic substrate to another substrate, the bonding system comprising a plastic substrate wherein the plastic substrate is impregnated with a transition metal; and an anaerobically curable composition. Cure of the anaerobically curable composition is initiatable by the transition metal when the anaerobically curable composition is contacted with the plastic substrate under anaerobic conditions.
METHOD FOR ADHERING TWO MOTOR-VEHICLE PARTS WITH DIRECT HEATING OF ADHESIVE
Method for adhering a first part made of plastic material (MP) and a second part, in which at least one thickness of adhesive is deposited onto at least one of said parts, and the other part is placed against the thickness of adhesive, wherein: at least one electromagnetic wave of a given wavelength is selected, such that the transmission of said plastic material (MP) in relation to this wave is not zero, and such that the absorbance of the adhesive in relation to this wave is not zero; and at least some of the adhesive is heated by irradiating it by transmitting said electromagnetic wave through said plastic material (MP) to activate and/or accelerate cross-linking of the adhesive.
One-component laminating adhesive having silane cross-linking
The invention relates to a crosslinkable one-component laminating adhesive containing 25 to 80 wt. % of polyester prepolymers, polyether prepolymers and/or polyurethane prepolymers, which have at least two cross-linkable alkoxysilane groups and have a molecular weight of 2000 to 30,000 g/mol, 75 to 19 wt. % of organic solvent having a boiling point up to 130 C., 1 to 20 wt. % of polymers which contain anhydride groups, and 0 to 15 wt. % of additives, wherein the viscosity of the adhesive is between 50 and 20,000 mPas (according to DIN ISO 2555), measured at 15 to 45 C.
Taped seal construction
A taped seal construction for a body part of a vehicle, with a seal with a main portion and a lip portion, the main portion being designed to extend on one side of the body part of the vehicle and the lip portion being designed to extend on another side of the body part of the vehicle thereby covering an edge of the body part, and a tape, the tape being attached to the main portion of the seal, wherein that the tape comprises a split liner.
Thin-film catechol containing materials
The disclosure relates to thin layers comprising a catechol containing polymer or oligomer, as well as methods of making and using the thin layers comprising the catechol containing polymer or oligomer. The layers demonstrate improved adhesion between two materials without substantial modification of the adhesive matrix.
