A provided protective cover member is a protective cover member configured to be placed on a face of an object, the face having an opening. The protective cover member includes a laminate, and the laminate includes: a protective membrane having a shape configured to cover the opening when the member is placed on the face; and an adhesive agent layer. The adhesive agent layer includes a cured adhesive layer of a silicone adhesive agent composition including an addition-curable silicone adhesive agent. The above protective cover member is a member reducing deformation thereof and peeling thereof from a placement face at high temperatures, for example, in reflow soldering.

A self-disinfecting photocatalyst sheet includes a substrate material and a photocatalyst layer with a primary photocatalyst and a secondary photocatalyst. The primary photocatalyst is a metal oxide photocatalyst, whereas the secondary photocatalyst is a metallic photocatalyst. The primary photocatalyst forms a covalent bond with the substrate material. The self-disinfecting photocatalyst sheet is photocatalytic active to different bands of wavelength. Another self-disinfecting photocatalyst sheet includes a substrate material, a prime material layer and a photocatalyst layer with a primary photocatalyst and a secondary photocatalyst. The prime material layer is between the substrate and the photocatalyst layer. The primary photocatalyst forms a covalent bond with the prime material.

Adhesive articles with strippable liners are described. In particular, adhesive articles including an optional substrate having a first and second major surface, an adhesive layer provided on the first major surface of the substrate, and a strippable liner in contact with the adhesive layer including a polymer layer including polybutylene succinate and from about 0.5 and about 5 polymer weight percent of a plant-based wax are described. Liners from such articles may exhibit good release performance while being compostable.

Provided is an outdoor facing system and method is for re-facing an object. The outdoor re-facing system includes a plasticized facing layer, the facing layer having an exterior surface. The outdoor re-facing system includes an interior surface and an adhesive layer comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive resistant to plasticizer migration, the adhesive layer having a first surface attached to the interior surface of the facing layer and a second surface for adhering the re-facing system to the re-facing object.

An adhesive-coated polymer substrate comprising (a) a polymer substrate containing or consisting of a thermoplastic polymer with a Vicat A50 softening point according to DIN EN ISO 306 of up to 220° C., and (b) an adhesive composition coated directly on at least one side of the polymer substrate, wherein the adhesive composition (b) is a UV-curable or UV-cured hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) is disclosed. A process for the manufacture of the adhesive-coated polymer substrate as well as to the use thereof are also disclosed.

An adhesive article that remains securely bonded to a substrate until a stimuli is applied. The article may be embodied as an adhesive tape, a bandage, or as other articles. The stimuli may be a change in temperature or application of a reduction that causes a structure within the article to break, creak, or otherwise disrupt to expose the adhesive to a solvent, such as via a difference in Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) or by exposing the article to a glass transition temperature.

Film stacks are described. In particular, film stacks including a base overlaminate film layer and a removeable skin layer disposed on the base overlaminate film layer are described. Because the removable skin layer develops haze before the point of irreversibly damaging the base overlaminate layer, the film stack can prevent unintentional overstretching when the film stack is stretched together.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape that uses, as a plasticizer, an alternative compound to bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DOP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), having excellent tackiness, and can be unwound satisfactorily, where DOP and DBP are to be restricted under the REACH regulation. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape includes a poly(vinyl chloride) substrate and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is disposed on or over one side of the substrate. The poly(vinyl chloride) substrate contains 10 to 40 percent by weight of bis(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape preferably has an unwinding force of 0.4 N/20 mm or less at a tensile speed of 0.3 m/min and an unwinding force of 1.2 N/20 mm or less at a tensile speed of 30 m/min.
