This pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer-attached one-side-protected polarizing film has a polarizer that contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, contains 20 wt % or less of boric acid relative to the total quantity of the polarizer, has a thickness of 10 ?m or less, and has prescribed optical characteristics. The film thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is less than 50 ?m, and if the storage elastic modulus of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer at 23? C. is termed G (Pa) and the film thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is termed H (?m), G>210e.sup.0.2035H is satisfied when 50>H?32, and G>35000e.sup.0.0433H is satisfied when 32>H>0. In this pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer-attached one-side-protected polarizing film, the polarizer has prescribed optical characteristics, and defects resulting from through cracks and nano-slits can be suppressed.
BIODEGRADABLE FILM HAVING AN ADHESIVE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
In one aspect, there is provided a sheet comprising a biodegradable film having a first surface and an opposing second surface; and an adhesive, wherein the adhesive is applied to the first surface and wherein the sheet has a peel force of between about 0.02 pounds per inch to about 0.15 pounds per inch, preferably about 0.03 pounds per inch to about 0.1 pounds per inch, further preferably about 0.07 pounds per inch.
ACRYLIC POLYVINYL ACETAL FILMS COMPRISING AN ADHESIVE LAYER
A film is described comprising a (meth)acrylic polymer and polyvinyl acetal polymer composition. A layer of an adhesive composition is disposed proximate the film. The adhesive composition has a tensile elastic modulus of less than 1 MPa at 25 C. and 1 hertz.
BARRIER TAPE FOR SEAMING AND REPAIR OF BARRIER SHEETS
A barrier tape comprises a barrier section comprising one or more barrier layers and one or more adhesive layers adhered to a face of the barrier section. The barrier tape can be used to join together adjacent barrier sheets or to patch a breach in a barrier sheet to form a barrier assembly.
One-side-protected polarizing film, pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer-attached polarizing film, image display device, and method for continuously producing same
The present invention pertains to a one-side-protected polarizing film having a transparent protective film on only one surface of a polarizer, wherein: the polarizer contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, has a thickness of 10 m or less, and is designed to have a single-body transmittance T and a polarization degree P representing optical properties satisfying the condition of the following formula: P>(10.sup.0.929T42.41)100 (provided that T<42.3) or P99.9 (provided that T42.3); and the other surface of the polarizer has a transparent layer having a compressive elastic modulus at 80 C. of 0.1 GPa or more. Even when the polarizer has prescribed optical properties and the thickness is 10 m or less, this one-side-protected polarizing film is capable of suppressing the occurrence of through cracks and nano-slits.
MOLDABLE CONTAINER LINER HAVING BARRIER PROPERTIES
The disclosure relates to a liner for containers or packages. The liner includes several polymer layers, exhibits a barrier function (e.g., gas or moisture barrier function), and is peelably attachable to one or more container/package surfaces. When the liner lines a package or container the package or container exhibits the liner's barrier function, and the liner can be peeled from the package or container to facilitate recycling or disposal. The liner is thermoformable, and can thus be either shaped to conform to the shape of a pre-formed container or shaped simultaneously with formation of the container from a precursor material to which the liner is peelably bound, either prior to or during container formation.

One-side-protected polarizing film, pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer-attached polarizing film, image display device, and method for continuously producing same
A one-side-protected polarizing film having a transparent protective film on only one surface of a polarizer, wherein: the polarizer contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, has a thickness of 10 m or less, and is designed to have a single-body transmittance T and a polarization degree P representing optical properties satisfying the condition of the following formula: P>(10.sup.0.929T42.41)100 (provided that T<42.3) or P99.9 (provided that T42.3); and the other surface of the polarizer has a transparent layer thereon satisfying formula 1 (F3) and formula 2 (Ce.sup.0.7F), given that the thickness thereof is F (m) and the compressive elastic modulus thereof at 80 C. is C (GPa). Even when the polarizer has prescribed optical properties and the thickness is 10 m or less, this one-side-protected polarizing film is capable of suppressing through cracks and nano-slits.
Method for producing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-carrying optical film
A method for producing a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-carrying optical film includes the step of applying, over the optical film, a coating liquid for anchor layer comprising a mixed solvent comprising 10 to 100% by weight of water and 90 to 0% by weight of an alcohol, and a polyoxyalkylene-group-containing polymer so as to give an applied-coat thickness before drying of 20 m or less; and next drying the workpiece under drying conditions satisfying both of the following requirements (1) and (2): (1) the drying temperature T is from 40 to 70 C., and (2) a value obtained by multiplying the drying temperature T ( C.) by the drying period H (seconds), TH, satisfies:
400(TH)4000,
thereby removing the mixed solvent to form the anchor layer.
