A latching mechanism for connecting a first object to a second object is provided. The latching mechanism includes a groove provided along a surface of the first object. The groove includes a notch. The notch can be centered in the groove. The groove is configured to receive a connective end of the second object, and the notch is configured to lock the connective end of the second object in place. The notch can receive a tab from the connective end of the second object.

The first portion and the second portion are coupled together. The locking mechanism also includes a first spring mechanism coupled between the first portion and the second portion. The first spring mechanism causes the first portion to be biased away from the second portion. The locking mechanism also includes a second spring mechanism. The second spring mechanism causes the substantially planar top surface of the first portion to be biased substantially flush with respect to the removable module and also causes the substantially non-planar bottom surface of the second portion to be biased proud with respect to the removable module.

For example, a watch housing includes a main body having a channel for receiving a watchband and a first opening extending to the channel. A rear cover coupled to the main body provides a second opening. A unibody button is positioned between the main body and the rear cover. The button is biased against the rear cover and is moveable toward the channel to release a watchband engaged therein.

A watch system is provided, including a watchband, a lug bucket, and a puck. The watchband may include a flexible member configured to be mounted onto a wrist of a user. The lug bucket may be coupled to the electronic watch band and may include a circular ledge. The puck may include watch functionality. The puck may be configured to be removably coupled to the lug bucket. The lug bucket and the puck may have corresponding locking features that are configured to rotationally and translationally fix the puck to the lug bucket. The corresponding locking features may be configured to be engaged when the puck is translated relative to the lug bucket and rotated relative to the lug bucket by a predetermined rotation angle.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a locking assembly for an attachment system of a consumer product. More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an attachment unit that is configured to be inserted and removed from a housing of a consumer product. The attachment unit and/or the housing include an expansion component or other such locking assembly configured to releasably secure the attachment unit within the housing.

ATTACHMENT SYSTEMS FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Attachment systems for attaching a wearable electronic device to a user including a sizing band and a retaining band are disclosed. The sizing band includes at least one sizing eyelet and a band-insertable end. The retaining band includes at least a post for insertion into the sizing eyelet of the sizing band and a concealment aperture configured to receive the band-insertable end of the sizing band. On a bottom surface of the retaining band can be a recessed guide bed configured to guide the band-insertable end along the bottom surface of the retaining band. A wearable electronic device can couple to both the sizing band and the retaining band by accepting an end portion of each band into receiving channels extending into opposite sidewalls of the housing.

The removable module includes a locking mechanism comprising a first portion having a substantially planar top surface and second portion that comprises a substantially non-planar bottom surface. The first portion and the second portion are coupled together. The locking mechanism also includes a first spring mechanism coupled between the first portion and the second portion. The first spring mechanism causes the first portion to be biased away from the second portion. The locking mechanism also includes a second spring mechanism. The second spring mechanism causes the substantially planar top surface of the first portion to be biased substantially flush with respect to the removable module and also causes the substantially non-planar bottom surface of the second portion to be biased proud with respect to the removable module.
