Foam tape
The present disclosure is directed to a foam tape product that does not require a release paper or other release material to prevent sticking on or within itself upon rolling. A method of manufacturing the foam tape product and kit are also provided.
Cutting of Adhesive Materials with Water-Soluble Protective Layer
A pre-assembled kit of cut shapes disposed upon a peelable or repositionable adhesive by means of an affixing adhesive protected by a water-soluble coating which is solubilised either prior to and/or on application of the kit to a surface which may be moistened prior to application. When the water-soluble coating is solubilised, in whole or in part, by placing in contact with the moistened surface, it will expose and/or activate, in whole or in part, the pressure-sensitive adhesive beneath the water-soluble coating to the surface to which it is to be applied and the pre-assembled kit will become affixed to the surface. Alternatively, solubilisation of the water-soluble coating may be provided by applying water, preferably warm water, to the water-soluble coating prior to applying the pre-assembled kit to the surface. A method of producing the pre-assembled kit of cut shapes is provided. In preferred embodiments the protective water-soluble coating is substantially a formulation of poly-vinyl alcohol or polyurethane polymers.
Method for joining two webs together with an adhesive tape
The invention relates to an adhesive tape with a carrier composed of a film, there being applied on one side of the carrier an adhesive based on natural rubber or synthetic rubber, where the film is a biaxially oriented film made of polypropylene, polyethylene or polyester such as PET, and on the side of the carrier not coated with adhesive there is a release layer, based in particular on carbamate.
Fastening tape and mechanical fastener including microporous film
A fastening tape, mechanical fastener, methods of making them, and personal hygiene articles including them are disclosed. The fastening tape includes a tape backing having a fastening portion, an adhesive disposed on the fastening portion, and a release surface for the adhesive. The release surface is a either a release tape attached along one of its edges to the tape backing or a release coating disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the tape backing. At least one of the tape backing or the release surface comprises a microporous film having an opaque, microporous region and at least one see-through region of lower porosity within the opaque, microporous region. The mechanical fastener includes such a microporous film and mechanical fastening elements on at least one surface. The at least one see-through region extends through the thickness of the microporous film.
Pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for mobile electronics
Provided is a PSA sheet capable of bringing about good air release properties in mobile electronic applications. The present invention provides a PSA sheet for mobile electronics. The PSA sheet comprises a substrate film and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the substrate film. The PSA layer has a thickness of 20 m or less. The PSA sheet further comprises a coating layer that partially covers the PSA layer surface. The coating layer has a thickness less than 3 m.
Easily peelable adhesive tape, article, and method for disassembling article
[Object] An object of the present invention is to provide an easily peelable adhesive tape that has a good peel adhesive strength when attached to an adherend and that can be easily peeled after being irradiated with active energy rays. [Solution] The present invention is directed to an easily peelable adhesive tape that has, on at least one surface of a base material, an active energy ray-curable layer having a storage modulus (G.sub.a25) of less than 1.010.sup.6 Pa as measured at a temperature of 25 C. and a frequency of 1.0 Hz and has an adhesive layer on the surface side of the active energy ray-curable layer.
Method for producing an adhesive sealing tape
The aim is to provide an efficient method for producing a multi-layer adhesive tape having a heat-sealing layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive that results in effective composite adhesion of the individual layers to one another. This is accomplished with a method for producing an adhesive sealing tape covered with a release liner, said method comprising a) heating a pressure-sensitive adhesive in such a way that the pressure-sensitive adhesive is present as a melt; and b) producing a composite in a roll nip in such a way that a hotmelt adhesive layer is lying on one roll, a release liner is lying on the other roll, the release liner having an outer release layer, and this outer release layer pointing away from the roll surface, the pressure-sensitive adhesive melt is introduced into the roll nip and by rotation of the rolls, contacting of the layers and cooling, a composite is obtained with the sequence of hotmelt adhesive layerpressure-sensitive adhesiverelease liner, the release liner remaining on the pressure-sensitive adhesive until the adhesive tape is applied.
FILM CONSTRUCTIONS AND ARTICLES
Film constructions and articles including the film constructions, wherein a film construction includes: a backing having a first major surface and a second major surface, wherein the backing includes at least one backing layer comprising a polylactic acid and an ethylene-containing copolymer comprising a polar comonomer; a tie layer disposed on the first major surface of the backing; and a release layer disposed on the tie layer.
SURFACE PROTECTIVE FILM LAMINATE, SURFACE PROTECTIVE FILM AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a surface protective film laminate, surface protective film and its producing method. The surface protective film which has excellent smoothness, light transmission properties, transparency, scratch resistance, weather resistance and self-healing properties. The present invention provides, as a solution, a surface protective film wherein three layers, namely, a protective layer, a transparent base film and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer are laminated in this order, said protective layer being formed of a thermosetting polyurethane which is a cured product of a polyether polyol, an aliphatic isocyanate, an alcohol-based curing agent and a non-amine catalyst.
