An adhesive tape for application to a component of a motor vehicle, consisting of a primer layer having a self-adhesive lower side and a self-adhesive upper side, where the primer layer is embodied such that it is activatable for chemical reaction with an adhesive. The use of an adhesive tape, to an assembly, and to a method is also provided.

DOOR TRIM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A door trim including a base and a skin firmly bonded via a non-reactive hot melt adhesive layer with less dependence on the material forming bonding surfaces, and a method for manufacturing the door trim are provided. This door trim includes a base and a skin bonded to a surface of the base. A bonding surface of the base to the skin includes a region made of polyolefin and/or a region made of polyurethane. A bonding surface of the skin to the base is made of polyolefin. The bonding surfaces are bonded via a non-reactive hot melt adhesive layer containing acid-modified polyolefin.

ADVANCED BONDING AGENT

The invention provides a bonding agent particularly suited for bonding metal to castable polyurethane, polyesters and or polyamides.

INFRARED HEAT ASSISTED DRYING OF THIN FILMS

A method of applying a paint film to a substrate may include wetting a surface of the substrate or an adhesive layer of a paint film to form a fluid layer thereon. The paint film may further comprise a polymer film layer. The method may further include applying the paint film to the substrate such that the fluid layer is positioned between the adhesive layer and the surface. The applied paint film may be heated with infrared heat to facilitate the removal of the fluid layer and adhere the adhesive layer to the surface. Systems and devices for applying a paint film to a substrate are also disclosed.

TRANSFER OF UV PRINT ONTO CURVED SURFACES WITH STRETCHABLE UV INKS

A stretchable multi-layer assembly for transfer-printing of an associated curved object includes a stretchable carrier which defines a first outer surface of the assembly. A stretchable image is supported on the carrier. The multi-layer assembly includes an adhesive second outer surface defined by at least one of the stretchable image and an adhesive layer which is in contact with the image layer. The carrier and the stretchable image are penetrable to radiation of a wavelength which is able to cure the adhesive second outer surface for securing the assembly to the associated object.

Two-component, water-based lamination adhesive and use of the same to bond substrates and foams

A water comprising, two component polyurethane dispersion adhesive comprising an anionic polyester polyurethane resin and a solvent-free liquid aliphatic polyisocyanate cross-linker. The dispersion can be reactivated one or more times for edge bonding a flexible sheet material onto a substrate having a main surface, a peripheral surface and an edge connecting the main surface and the peripheral surface.

Disclosed is a tire with reduced cavity noise including an adhesive agent layer applied to an inside of an inner liner and a sound absorber layer attached to the adhesive agent layer, wherein the adhesive agent layer includes poly(ether-urethane) containing alkoxysilane at both ends thereof. The tire with reduced cavity noise is stable without causing separation of a sound absorber even upon heating and deformation during driving.

DECORATIVE FILM WITH COVER FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING SAME

A decorative film with a cover film of an embodiment includes: (a) a polyurethane layer having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface and containing a polyurethane that is crosslinked at least partially, wherein the polyurethane that is crosslinked at least partially includes at least one of a polyester-based polyurethane or a polycarbonate-based polyurethane: (b) a removable cover film having a corona treated or plasma treated surface, wherein the corona treated or plasma treated surface of the removable cover film is in contact with the first surface of the polyurethane layer: (c) a base layer having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, wherein the first surface of the base layer is in contact with the second surface of the polyurethane layer; and (d) an adhesive layer in contact with the second surface of the base layer.

METHOD FOR INCREASING THE ADHESION BETWEEN THE FIRST SURFACE OF A FIRST WEB-SHAPED MATERIAL AND A FIRST SURFACE OF A SECOND WEB-SHAPED MATERIAL

A method for increasing the adhesion between the first surface of a first web-shaped material and a first surface of a second web-shaped material, the first web-shaped material and the second web-shaped material being fed continuously and with the same web direction to a laminating gap, in which the first web-shaped material and the second web-shaped material are laminated together by means of the first surfaces thereof, the two first surfaces being treated with a single plasma simultaneously and preferably over the entire area, the laminating gap being formed by a pressing element and a counter-pressure device, which builds up a counter pressure, and preferably at least one of the lateral surfaces of the pressing element and of the counter-pressure device or both being equipped with a dielectric, characterized in that none of the two first surfaces/web-shaped materials are guided through the discharge zone of the plasma-generating device.
