An adhesive system, having an adhesion promoter composition, containing at least one mercaptosilane, at least one polysilane, at least one transition metal complex having substantially only monodentate ligands, and at least one non-alcoholic solvent, and an adhesive, wherein the adhesive, within an hour after application and storage at 23 C. and 50% relative air humidity, has a tensile shear strength of at least 3 MPa, as measured according to ISO 4587, and/or, within an hour after application and storage at 23 C. and 50% relative air humidity, has at least 50%, preferably at least 60%, of the tensile shear strength achievable after application and storage for 7 days at 23 C. and 50% relative air humidity, as measured according to ISO 4587. An adhesion promoter system has a liquid container having a manually actuable output apparatus, and an adhesion promoter composition, as disclosed above.

The present invention provides a curable composition for adhesive agents containing a polyorganosilsesquioxane (A) having a constituent unit represented by Formula (1) below; a mole ratio of a constituent unit represented by Formula (I) below to a constituent unit represented by Formula (II) below (constituent unit represented by Formula (I)/constituent unit represented by Formula (II)) being from 20 to 500; a proportion of the constituent unit represented by Formula (1) below and a constituent unit represented by Formula (4) below being from 55 to 100 mol % relative to a total amount (100 mol %) of siloxane constituent units; a number average molecular weight being from 2500 to 50000; and a molecular weight dispersity (weight average molecular weight/number average molecular weight) being from 1.0 to 4.0.

A primer composition for pressure-sensitive silicone adhesives which comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane including at least two alkenyl-containing organic groups in the molecule and having an alkenyl group content of 0.001-0.008 mol per 100 g of the organopolysiloxane, (B) an organopolysiloxane including at least two alkenyl-containing organic groups in the molecule and having an alkenyl group content of 0.15-1.3 mol per 100 g of the organopolysiloxane, (C) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having at least three SiH groups in the molecule but containing neither any alkoxy group nor any epoxy group, and (D) a platinum-group metal catalyst. The primer composition cures satisfactorily while sufficiently exhibiting adhesiveness to pressure-sensitive silicone adhesives. Even after having cured sufficiently, the primer composition can retain the satisfactory adhesiveness.

An adhesive article comprising a poly(meth)acrylate-based primer layer and methods of making same. The article can include a backing, a primer layer located on a first major surface of the backing, and a silicone-based adhesive located on the primer layer. The primer layer can be derived from a primer precursor comprising poly(meth)acrylate functionalities. The method can include applying a primer precursor onto a first major surface of a backing, the primer precursor comprising a compound comprising poly(meth)acrylate functionalities; irradiating the primer precursor; applying an adhesive on the irradiated primer precursor; and irradiating the adhesive and the irradiated primer precursor to form a primer layer located between the adhesive and the first major surface of the backing.

The method for forming the primer may further include use of d) an organic solvent, and e) a free radical polymerizable monomer, oligomer, macromonomer, or polymer.

Adhesive laminate

An adhesive laminate comprising (A) a light-transmitting substrate layer formed from a melt extruded thermoplastic resin, (B) a hard coat layer formed by using a hard coating agent comprising not less than 13 wt % of colloidal silica and/or an alkoxysilane hydrolysis condensate based on the total weight of the layer B excluding a solvent, (C) an adhesive primer layer, and (D) an elastic adhesive layer. Layers (A)-(D) are formed in this order. Layer C is formed from a primer composition comprising a silane coupling agent and has a thickness of 1 to 20 m and an indentation elasticity modulus of 500 to 4,000 MPa. Layer D has a thickness (Y) of 0.9 to 14 mm.

Moisture-curable hot melt silicone adhesive compositions including an alkoxy-functional siloxane reactive resin

A moisture-curable silicone adhesive composition is provided that comprises (A) a reactive resin, (B) a reactive polymer, (C) a moisture cure catalyst, and (D) a crosslinker resin. The reactive resin (A) comprises the reaction product of a reaction of an alkenyl-functional siloxane resin comprising R.sub.3SiO.sub.1/2 units and SiO.sub.4/2 units and an alkoxysilane-functional organosiloxane compound having at least one silicon-bonded hydrogen atom in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. The reactive polymer (B) comprises the reaction product of a reaction of an alkoxysilane-functional organosiloxane compound having at least one silicon-bonded hydrogen atom and a polyorganosiloxane having an average, per molecule, of at least 2 aliphatically unsaturated organic groups in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst.

Release film

According to the present invention, there is provided a release film that can be suitably used in various applications without suffering from deterioration in releasing property thereof, for example, owing to a solvent used upon processing an adhesive layer, when the film is used as a release film for adhesives or a protective film for an adhesive layer for a polarizing plate. The release film of the present invention comprises a polyester film and a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the polyester film, the coating layer comprising a silicone compound and a Gemini surfactant.
