Linerless thermal label web and labels produced thereof
A linerless thermal label web includes layers in the following order: a release layer, a thermal paper comprising a heat sensitive part, and an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer includes an adhesive deadening varnish at longitudinal edge areas of the linerless thermal web so as to reduce the tackiness of the adhesive layer in the longitudinal edge areas. A thermal label can be produced from the label web and the label web can be used for variable information printing applications.

A heavy release additive for a release sheet, containing an acrylic-silicone-based graft copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 30,000-2,000,000 obtained by radical polymerization of an organopolysiloxane compound (A) having a radical-polymerizable group, and a radical-polymerizable monomer (B) having an acrylic group and/or a methacrylic group, the heavy release additive for a release sheet wherein the component (A) includes an organopolysiloxane compound (A1) having one radical-polymerizable group in each molecule thereof, and the component (B) includes a radical-polymerizable monomer (B2) having two or more radical-polymerizable groups in each molecule thereof.

Stiffening assemblies for use with labels or shelf label channels are described. The stiffening assemblies can be incorporated with one or more labels and provided so as to be conveniently used with shelf label channels or other point-of-sale displays.
Silicone release coating compositions
A curable polysiloxane release coating composition comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane containing at least two (2) ethylenically unsaturated groups, (B) an organopolysiloxane containing at least 2 Si—H groups per molecule, and (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst. If the organopolysiloxane (A) contains only 2 ethylenically unsaturated groups, the organopolysiloxane (B) contains on average more than 2 Si—H groups per molecule. The composition further comprises (D1) a hydrosilylation inhibitor comprising a maleimide of the general formula (I). In formula (I), A3? represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbyl or substituted hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and A1? and A2? each represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbyl or substituted hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms. The composition yet further comprises (D2) a second hydrosilylation inhibitor selected from acetylenic compounds, ethylenically unsaturated isocyanates, acetylenically unsaturated silanes and unsaturated dicarboxylic acid diesters or a maleate compound or a mixture thereof. ##STR00001##
CROSSLINKED ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, MIST SUPPRESSANT, AND SOLVENT-FREE SILICONE COMPOSITION FOR RELEASE PAPER
Provided are: a crosslinked organopolysiloxane which has properties intermediate between a dimethylpolysiloxane oil and a gel-like crosslinked siloxane; and a method for producing the crosslinked organopolysiloxane. An oil-like organopolysiloxane which is produced by: adding a compound having a siloxane unit represented by formula (3) to a gel-like silicone, wherein the gel-like silicone is produced by a hydrosilylation reaction of an organopolysiloxane having an alkenyl group with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having a hydrogen atom bonded to a silicon atom in the presence of a platinum-group metal catalyst; and then equilibrating the resultant product with an acid or alkali catalyst.

PLATINUM-GROUP METAL CATALYST, A CURABLE ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION, AND A RELEASE SHEET
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a platinum-group metal catalyst having high storage stability and being able to promote an addition reaction even when the amount of the platinum-group metal catalyst is small; a curable organopolysiloxane composition comprising the catalyst; and a release sheet comprising a cured product of the composition. That is, the present invention provides a catalyst composition comprising i) a platinum-group metal catalyst and ii) an organopolysiloxane having at least two (meth)acryloyl groups in one molecule, wherein an amount of the platinum-group metal atom is 0.01 to 5.0 mass %, based on a total mass of the catalyst composition.
RADIATION-CURABLE ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION AND A RELEASE SHEET
A radiation-curable organopolysiloxane composition comprising the components (A), (B) and (C): (A) organopolysiloxane represented by the formula (1), wherein at least one of R.sup.1 is a (meth)acryloyl group-containing organic group, a is an integer of 2 or more, a, b, c and d satisfy an equation, 2≤a+b+c+d≤1,000, and a ratio of the total number of the hydroxyl group and the hydroxyl group-containing organic group to the total number of the (meth)acryloyl group-containing organic group, the hydroxyl group and the hydroxyl group-containing organic group is 0.4 or less; (B) compound having two or more acrylic groups in one molecule in an amount of 0.1 to 50 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of component (A); and (C) radical polymerization initiator in an amount of 0.1 to 15 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of component (A).
POLYORGANOSILOXANE RELEASE COATING AND ITS PREPARATION AND USE
Provided is a curable polyorganosiloxane release coating composition comprising: A) a branched aliphatically unsaturated polyorganosiloxane, B) a crosslinker having at least 3 silicon bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst, D) a hydrosilylation reaction inhibitor, and E) an aryl-functional polydiorganosiloxane having a content of aliphatically unsaturated groups. RELEASE COATING COMPOSITIONS FOR PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE ARTICLES AND METHODS
A method of making a release coated article is described comprising: providing a release coating comprising at least 50 wt. % of monomer(s) comprising an ethylenically unsaturated group and a terminal alkyl group with at least 18 (e.g. contiguous) carbon atoms based on the total amount of ethylenically unsaturated components; crosslinking components(s) comprising at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups; and at least one polymerization initiator. The release coating is substantially solventless, comprising no greater than 1 wt. % of non-polymerizable organic solvent. The method further comprises applying the release coating to a major surface of a substrate; and polymerizing the monomer(s) and crosslinking component(s) of the release coating after applying the release coating to the substrate. Also described are release coating compositions.
