Jewelry system
The jewelry system of the present invention is used for easily layering jewelry by connecting strands of similar types of jewelry, such as necklace strands, into a layered jewelry piece (e.g. multi-strand necklace), and which prevents tangling and provides a distinctive presentation of each layer. The present invention allows for variety in the combining and re-arranging of individual strands in any desired order, by the use of end couplers on the ends of each strand and one or more connector pairs disposed on one or more of strands. This allows for the creation of customized layered jewelry pieces that can be adjusted to suit a variety of styles. The design of the present invention allows for the use of singular strands to form into a layered jewelry piece that is distinctively presented in a symmetrical, cascading arrangement, which moves uniformly as one piece with the weight of gravity, virtually eliminating the risk of tangling. An additional purpose of this system is to have more versatility for the user's jewelry and increase the convenience of wearing fully constructed, customizable, layered jewelry pieces which can be put on and removed as one piece.
Adjustable bracelet clasp
A bracelet clasp (1) of the deployant buckle type, including first and second strips (2, 4) articulated to each other via a first of their respective ends, between a closed position for wear, and at least one open position, the first strip (2) carrying a member (20) for attaching a first bracelet strand, the second, lower strip (4) having a loop member (28) at its second end defining a passage for a second bracelet strand and carrying a stud (30) intended to be inserted into a suitable hole in the bracelet strand to define an anchoring point of the latter to the clasp (1), the clasp (1) further including at least one locking member (11) for holding the first and second strips (2, 4) in their closed position, characterized in that the stud (30) is movable with respect to the loop member (28) and includes an actuator (34) arranged to move it and thereby define at least two predefined positions associated with a predefined useful bracelet length.
Attachment systems for electronic devices
Attachment systems for attaching a wearable electronic device to a user including a sizing band and a retaining band are disclosed. The retaining band can include a plug assembly (e.g., actuatable button, retractable arms, etc.) configured to be inserted in a selected eyelet of the sizing band. Upon insertion into the eyelet, the plug assembly can resist unintended separation of the sizing and retaining band by increasing its outer dimension. Release can be achieved by allowing the user to decrease the outer dimension of the plug assembly so that removal from the selected eyelet is easily achieved.
Miniaturized couplings for jewelry components
A miniaturized coupling for jewelry includes a male coupling and a female coupling, each of which is millimeter-sized or sub-millimeter-sized and each of which is attached to or suited to be attached to a respective jewelry component. The male coupling has a locking member configured to be inserted into the female coupling through an opening into an interior of the female coupling. A resiliently-biased, snap connector located in the interior of the female coupling, so constructed that when the locking member is inserted into the female coupling it initially moves and then is retained by the snap connector. An actuating pin in the female coupling is configured to move the snap connector to release the locking member and thereby disengage the male and female couplings from each other. The actuating pin has an outer surface accessible at an outer surface of the female coupling.
Magnetic jewelry attachment assembly
A jewelry attachment assembly includes a pair of cylindrical cases. One case has a male section including an annular flange with a pair of diametrically opposing radial splines situated on its periphery. The other case has a female section including a hollow sleeve with a shell. The sleeve includes a pair of diametrically opposite channels formed in the shell. Each channel includes an axially extending slot and an adjoining circumferentially extending slot. During assembly, the male section of one case is joined to the female section of the other case by registration of the pair of splines within the pair of circumferential slots by first guiding the splines through the axial slots, then guiding the splines through the circumferential slots. A pair of opposite polarity magnets are housed in the cases and disposed in adjacent relationship to promote magnetic coupling of the cases.
Attachment systems for electronic devices
Attachment systems for attaching a wearable electronic device to a user including a sizing band and a retaining band are disclosed. The sizing band includes at least one sizing eyelet and a band-insertable end. The retaining band includes at least a post for insertion into the sizing eyelet of the sizing band and a concealment aperture configured to receive the band-insertable end of the sizing band. On a bottom surface of the retaining band can be a recessed guide bed configured to guide the band-insertable end along the bottom surface of the retaining band. A wearable electronic device can couple to both the sizing band and the retaining band by accepting an end portion of each band into receiving channels extending into opposite sidewalls of the housing.
Jewelry article comprising a clasp with a swivel lock
The invention relates to a jewelry article (10), in particular a bracelet, comprising two branches (12a, 12b) and a clasp (20) comprising a lock (40) pivotally mounted on a pivot (22) integral with or connected to one end (13a) of one of the two branches (12a, 12b). The lock (40) comprises a central passage (54) extending along the axis of the pivot (22) and a cavity (58) communicating with the central passage (54) and opening onto one of two lateral sides (42a, 42b) of the lock (40). The clasp (20) further comprises a connecting member (24) integral with or connected to one end (13b) of the other of the two branches (12a, 12b) and intended to be fitted into the central passage (54) and the cavity (58) of the lock (40). The connecting member (24) and the cavity (58) are shaped so as to make it possible, on the one hand, to bring the jewelry article (10) from an unlocked configuration to a locked configuration by rotating the lock (40) about the pivot (22) in one direction after the connecting member (24) has been fitted into the lock and, on the other hand, to bring the jewelry article (10) from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration by rotating the lock (40) about the pivot (22) in an opposite direction so that the connecting member (24) can be removed from the lock (40).
WATCHBANDS WITH HOOK AND LOOP FASTENERS
A watchband can comfortably secure an electronic device to a wrist of a user. The watchband can include a base having a contact surface opposite an engagement surface, contact loops on the contact surface for contacting a user, and engagement loops on the engagement surface for engaging hooks. The hooks can be provided on the engagement surface, opposite some of the contact loops. The base can include base threads, and the contact loops and engagement loops can be formed by contact threads and engagement threads woven about some of the base threads between the contact surface and the engagement surface. Between adjacent engagement loops, the engagement thread can be more securely attached to the base than is the contact thread between adjacent contact loops.
Clasp Assembly
A clasp assembly includes a pair of identical half sections configured to be coupled to one another. Each half section comprises one or more deformable features that are designed to deform during closure to create an interlocking engagement between each half section.
