NOVEL ASPHALT-BASED DUST CONTROL FORMULATIONS
This disclosure describes formulations and methods for dust control, for example, coal topping, a term which refers to the application of liquid products to the top of coal loads, such as those in open topped coal hopper railcars as commonly used today to transport coal. Disclosed herein are asphalt-based emulsion formulations that accomplish dust control during industrial operations in which dust handling is required.

Low Dust Additives Comprising Emulsified Powder For Joint Compounds And Joint Compounds Thereof
The present invention relates generally to wall repair compounds such as joint compounds, spackling compounds, and the like used to repair imperfections in walls or fill joints between adjacent wallboard panels. Particularly, the present invention relates to such a wall repair compound comprising a dust reduction additive that reduces the quantity of airborne dust generated when the hardened compound is sanded and also exhibits improved adhesive properties. The dust reduction additive also imparts adhesion to the wall repair compounds to which it is added, for example to a joint compound. The dust reduction additive is a powder prepared from colloidally-protected, wax-based microstructure dispersions.
SURFACE MODIFICATION AGENT FOR CONTROL OF DUST FROM ADDITIVE PARTICLES
A system for transferring additive particles comprising: the additive particles; a storage container; and a surface modification agent, wherein at least some of the additive particles are treated with the surface modification agent, and wherein the surface modification agent reduces an amount of dust that is produced during transfer of the additive particles into the storage container, from the storage container, or into and from the storage container. A method of reducing an amount of dust produced during transfer of additive particles comprising: treating at least some of the additive particles with a surface modification agent; storing the additive particles; and transferring the additive particles prior to and after storage, wherein the surface modification agent reduces the amount of dust produced during at least one of the transfers of the additive particles.

COMPOSITION FOR DUST SUPPRESSION
The invention relates to an aqueous composition for the suppression of dust, comprising 1) an anionic surfactant; 2) an amphoteric surfactant; 3) a Bacillus species; and 4) a carbohydrate-based feedstock on which the Bacillus can grow. The composition is capable of forming a foam. When mixed with dust, the composition, in particular the foam thereof, is effective in preventing the dust from becoming airborne. Further, when applied before grinding or milling a material, the spreading of dust during and after the grinding or milling is effectively prevented.

Mine safety dust and method of production
A mine safety dust exhibiting improved dispersion in water. The rock dust includes dolomitic limestone particles which, when mixed at the mine site to form a slurry, stay in suspension during intermittent operation of spray machinery and with a reduced need for continuous mixing. The rock dust composition includes an inorganic salt that acts as a dispersant to improve dispersion of the rock dust in water and further acts as a deflocculant to keep the dust particles in suspension in the resultant slurry.
