Method for preparing stable liquid emulsion forms of plant extract

A method for preparing stable liquid emulsion forms of plant extract is provided. A plant extract having a bitter flavor is mixed with diluent oil as an oil mixture and heat is applied to the oil mixture. An emulsifying agent is dispersed in water as an emulsifying solution. The oil mixture is mixed with the emulsifying solution. The mixed oil mixture and emulsifying solution is homogenized as a liquid form of the plant extract. Gluconic acid is added to the liquid form of the plant extract. The bitter flavor of the plant extract is disguised by adding a bitter blocker to the liquid form of the plant extract.

The present invention relates to a dispersant derived from anhydride functionalized polyester derived from carboxylic acid functionalized polyester. The anhydride functionalized polyester is then reacted with a multi-amine species forming amide and salt bonds. The technology allows lower reaction temperatures when the multi-amine species is present. The lower reaction temperature allows the use of a broader selection of polyester repeat units.

The invention relates to a process for preparing a dispersion of a lipophilic compound in a continuous hydrophilic phase, the morphology of which is submicronic. During the preparation of this dispersion, there is applied, by means of a device which produces a shearing gradient less than 5000 s.sup.−1, a shear stress from 100 to 5000 Pa during the addition of the lipophilic compound in the continuous phase which comprises a rheology-modifying compound selected from anionic copolymers, preferably an anionic polymer, in particular an ASE polymer or a HASE polymer. The dispersed particles of the lipophilic compound are nanometric particles whose size is less than 1 μm. The dispersion, particularly in the form of an emulsion, can be used in numerous fields.
