20200197304 · 2020-06-25 ·

The present invention is directed to an ophthalmic emulsion. The emulsion has a unique combination of ingredients that promotes the stability of small oil droplets within the emulsion. The emulsion also includes a mucoadhesive polymer that aid in delivering a lipid to the ocular surface.

WASTE VEGETABLE OIL-BASED EMULSIFIER FOR INVERT EMULSION DRILLING FLUID

A waste vegetable-oil based emulsifier for use as drilling mud primary emulsifier is described. A first emulsifier is prepared from an alkyl ester of waste vegetable oil. The waste vegetable oil is vegetable oil which has been used for a process prior to preparing the first emulsifier. A quantity of the first emulsifier is added to an oil-based drilling fluid. A quantity of an activating agent is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. The activating agent is configured to activate the emulsifier to stabilize an emulsion. A quantity of viscosifier is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. A quantity of a second emulsifier is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. A quantity of weigh-up material is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. The resulting oil-based drilling fluid is used in a wellbore drilling operation to drill a wellbore in a subterranean zone.

HEAT-RAY SHIELDING PARTICLE DISPERSION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

Provided is a heat-ray shielding particle dispersion which contains: ITO particles having a heat-ray shielding capability; a solvent containing 60% by mass or more of water; and a dispersant. The ITO particles have a BET specific surface area of 20 m.sup.2/g or more, have a blue or dark blue tone represented by an L value of 50 or less and a<0 and b<0 in the Lab color system, and are contained in an amount of 1-90% by mass with respect to 100% by mass of the dispersion. The solvent is a component obtained by removing the heating residue from the heat-ray shielding particle dispersion, and is contained in an amount of 6.1-99.0% by mass with respect to 100% by mass of the dispersion. The dispersant is at least one kind among a phosphate ester-based dispersant, a polyglycerin-based dispersant, a polyvinylpyrrolidone-based dispersant, a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene condensate-based dispersant, and a polyacrylate-based dispersant.

Prevention of surge wave instabilities in three phase gas condensate flowlines

There is provided a process for the prevention or reduction of surge wave instabilities during the transport in a flowline of a three phase gas condensate comprising a gas phase, an aqueous phase and a condensate phase, characterized in that a dispersing agent is added to the three phase gas condensate which is able to disperse the aqueous phase in the condensate phase or the condensate phase in the aqueous phase, and a means for the prevention or reduction of surge wave instabilities during the transportation of a three phase gas condensate.

Emulsions by condensation

Nanoscale emulsions can be made by means of condensing a liquid vapor onto another liquid. The precise size, chemical composition, and density of emulsions may be controlled through varying the experimental parameters, such as surfactant concentration, time of condensation, humidity, and temperature.
