BEARING ASSEMBLY
A bearing assembly engaged with an end of a rotatable shaft. The assembly includes a hub defining a first bore extending between a first opening at a first end of the hub and a second opening at a second end of the hub. A bearing sleeve engaged in the first bore defines a second bore. The shaft's end is inserted through a first opening in the second bore. A sealed bearing located between the bearing sleeve and the hub's interior surface enables relative rotation therebetween. A first sealing mechanism seals the first bore's first opening and a second sealing mechanism seals the second openings of both of the first and second bores. The first sealing mechanism includes an L-shaped ring circumscribing the bearing sleeve and a rubber sealing member. The second sealing mechanism includes a hemispherical region and flange secured to the hub by a retaining ring.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING A PLANTER GAUGE WHEEL ARM
A gauge wheel arm assembly equipped to a row unit planter. The gauge wheel arm assembly may include an arm portion and a hub portion operably engaged with the arm portion for receiving at least two bearings. The hub portion may include at least one stop portion configured to operably engaged with a first bearing of the at least two bearings. The hub portion may also include at least another stop portion configured to operably engaged with a second bearing of the at least two bearings. The at least one stop portion of the hub portion and the at least another stop portion of the hub portion are independent and separate from one another.

SYSTEM FOR LUBRICATING A BEARING OF A CROP TRANSPORT AND/OR PROCESSING SYSTEM OF A HARVESTING MACHINE
A system for lubrication of a bearing of a crop transport and/or processing system of a harvesting machine includes a supply container for storing a lubricant, means for delivering the lubricant from the supply container to the bearing, and means for returning the lubricant from the bearing to the supply container.
Agricultural planter having tapered bearings on row unit mounting bracket
Tapered bearings are used on each end of each link arm on an agricultural seed row planter mounted on a toolbar. The bearing is a low friction material and greaseless. The tapered design of the bearings allows the bearings to be adjusted as wear occurs, by tightening the link arm mounting nut which extends through the tapered bearing. The tapered bearing has an increased life and reduced maintenance, as compared to prior art roller bearings.

Mounting structure for mounting pivot arm to implement
A mounting structure for mounting a pivot arm to an implement has a cylindrical member, an adjusting sleeve, and a mounting bolt extending through the cylindrical member and adjusting sleeve to fix the cylindrical member and adjusting sleeve together. The cylindrical member extends through a bore of a bearing housing for rotation within the bearing housing. The adjusting sleeve has a threaded external surface. A disc spring is positioned on the adjusting sleeve. An adjusting nut is threaded onto the threaded external surface of the adjusting sleeve. The adjusting nut can be tightened to compress the disc spring to create a lateral bearing force against the bearing housing. The bearing housing can be integral with a pivot arm for mounting a gauge wheel assembly on a planter row unit, or the bearing housing can be a fixed part for mounting a pivot arm for a closing/press wheel on a drill.
Free-floating laterally adustable gauge wheel arm
An assembly for adjustably mounting a gauge wheel arm to the frame of a row unit may include a pivot pin connected on the frame, a bushing freely rotatably mounted on the pivot pin for engagement with the gauge wheel arm such that rotation of the bushing with respect to the gauge wheel arm moves the gauge wheel arm axially, and a locking element that integrates the gauge wheel arm with the bushing so that there is no relative movement therebetween as the gauge wheel arm rotates with respect to the pivot pin.
Agricultural rolling basket bearing assembly
An agricultural tillage implement includes a frame member and at least one rolling basket assembly coupled to the frame member. The rolling basket assembly has at least one bearing hanger, at least one rolling basket and at least one bearing assembly rotationally coupling the rolling basket to the bearing hanger. The bearing assembly has a bearing with an inner ring and a spindle holding the inner ring. The spindle is coupled to the bearing hanger. The spindle being configured to accommodate dynamic misalignment of the bearing.
