Systems and processes for upgrading natural gas liquids (NGL). A natural gas, preferably a shale gas, comprising methane and one or more natural gas liquids can be converted to one or more liquid hydrocarbons. Methane can be separated from the one or more liquid hydrocarbons using a liquid absorbent to provide a first separated stream comprising the methane from the converted stream and a second separated stream comprising the one or more liquid hydrocarbons from the converted stream. At least a portion of the one or more liquid hydrocarbons can be recycled as the liquid absorbent.

HYDROCARBON RECOVERY FACILITY

A hydrocarbon recovery facility includes: a washing column configured to bring a gas and water into contact to deposit a hydrocarbon contained in the gas into the water; an automatic strainer for continuously removing the hydrocarbon together with part of the water from the water mixed with the hydrocarbon; an oil-water mixing drum for mixing the water and the hydrocarbon removed by the automatic strainer with an organic solvent to prepare an oil-water mixture; and an oil-water separation drum for separating the oil-water mixture prepared in the oil-water mixing drum into an oil phase and a water phase.

The process comprises hydrocracking the hydrocarbon feed to produce a first hydrocracking product stream, separating the first hydrocracking product stream to form a gas stream and a liquid stream, hydrocracking the liquid stream to produce a second hydrocracking product stream, separating the second hydrocracking product stream to form a first light stream and a first heavy stream comprising benzene, toluene, xylene, C.sub.9+ hydrocarbon, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing, purifying the gas stream to form a purified gas stream, and separating the purified gas stream to form at least two of a hydrogen stream, C.sub.1 stream, C.sub.2 stream, C.sub.3 stream, C.sub.4 stream, C.sub.5+ stream, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing.

The invention relates to a process and a plant for staged separation of concomitants from a raw synthesis gas stream to produce synthesis gas and a sulfur-free naphtha product as a by-product, To remove naphtha compounds and sulfur-containing concomitants, raw synthesis gas is treated with a scrubbing medium in a prescrubbing stage and withdrawn from the prescrubbing stage, and the laden scrubbing medium is mixed with water to bring about a phase separation into a scrubbing medium-water mixture and naphtha, wherein sulfur-containing concomitants are in solution in naphtha. To remove the sulfur-containing concomitants the naphtha is heated to obtain sulfur-free naphtha as a by-product of the gas scrubbing.

SOLVENT INJECTION AND RECOVERY IN A LNG PLANT

Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for processing liquefied natural gas (LNG). In one implementation, a solvent is injected into a feed of natural gas at a solvent injection point. A mixed feed is produced from a dispersal of the solvent into the feed of natural gas. The mixed feed contains heavy components. A chilled feed is produced by chilling the mixed feed. The chilled feed includes a vapor and a condensed liquid. The condensed liquid contains a fouling portion of the heavy components condensed by the solvent during chilling. The liquid containing the fouling portion of the heavy components is separated from the vapor. The vapor is directed into a feed chiller heat exchanger following separation of the liquid containing the fouling portion of the heavy components from the vapor, such that the vapor being directed into feed chiller heat exchanger is free of freezing components.

Separation of off gases from C3 hydrocarbons in propane dehydrogenation process

Methods and systems for separating C.sub.3 hydrocarbons from lighter hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and water are provided. In certain embodiments, the methods include feeding a gaseous mixture including C.sub.1, C.sub.2, and C.sub.3 hydrocarbons and benzene solvent to the absorber column where benzene solvent selectively absorbs C.sub.3 hydrocarbons. The methods can further include removing a first stream comprising benzene solvent and absorbed C.sub.3 hydrocarbons from the absorber column, and feeding the first stream to a stripper column where benzene solvent is separated from C.sub.3 hydrocarbons, and removing a second stream comprising C.sub.3 hydrocarbons from the stripper column.
