Process configuration for production of petrochemical feed-stocks
The invention relates to a process configuration for production of light olefins and aromatics from residual hydrocarbon streams. In this configuration a high severity catalytic cracking process is employed for producing higher yields of lighter olefins and various boiling fractions. C4 stream separated from gaseous product is subjected to metathesis and aromatized to form mono aromatics.
METHOD FOR ELIMINATING PRESSURE DIFFERENCE IN DISTILLATION COLUMN
A method for eliminating pressure loss (pressure difference) caused by salt derived from impurities in raw materials in a distillation facility during operation without negative effect on the quality of products and production efficiency is provided. The method for eliminating occurrence of pressure difference caused by precipitation of salt in a distillation facility includes using a specific quaternary ammonium compound.

DEWATERING OF THERMOCHEMICAL OIL
A process for dewatering a thermochemical oil. The process comprises providing a thermochemical oil comprising water; adding a solvent selected from mesityl oxide, 2-methyltetrahydrofuran, dioxane and furfural to the thermochemical, oil, to form a mixture comprising the thermochemical oil and the solvent; heating the mixture to remove an azeotrope comprising water and the solvent from the mixture, thereby forming a dewatered thermochemical oil. A dewatered thermochemical oil. A fuel precursor.

Separating a fuel on-board a vehicle
In an aspect, a system includes a mixer configured to mix a fuel stream with a solvent to form a mixed stream, the solvent having a higher affinity for a second component of the fuel stream than for a first component of the fuel stream. The system includes a first separator configured to separate the mixed stream into (i) a first fuel fraction including the first component of the fuel stream and (ii) a mixed fraction including the second component of the fuel stream based on a difference in volatility of the first fuel fraction and the mixed fraction. The system includes a second separator configured to separate the mixed fraction into a second fuel fraction including the second component of the fuel stream and a solvent fraction.
