Folding pole, in particular for Nordic walking
The invention relates to a folding pole (1), normally comprising four pipe sections (7-9), wherein the pipe sections (7-9) are connected to each other by means of plug-in connections while aligned along the pole axis (32) in the assembled state of the folding pole (1), and normally only three pipe sections (8, 8, 9) are still connected to each other by means of a movable connecting element (16) in the folded state, and wherein a pole handle (2) is arranged on a top pipe section (7) and a pole tip (23) is arranged on a bottom pipe section (9). According to the invention, at least one of the plug-in connections is realized by means of an external clamping mechanism (10), wherein the clamping mechanism (10) is fastened to a first pipe section (7), and wherein a second pipe section (8), which has an outside diameter smaller than or nearly equal to the inside diameter of the first pipe section (7), and which is supported in the first pipe section (7) so as to be movable itself, can be fastened in the relative axial position by the external clamping mechanism (10). The further plug-in connections are designed as pure plug-in connections, wherein pipe sections (8, 8, 9) are fastened only an axial direction in the connected state. The pipe sections (7-9) are connected to each other by means of at least one tension cable (16), which is fastened to the bottom pipe section (9) and to the top pipe section (7) and which is arranged so as to pass through the interior (31) of the at least two middle pipe sections (8, 8). The folding pole (1) is designed in such a way that the folding pole can be transferred from the folded state to the assembled state by connecting the further plug-in connections, and then, with the external clamping mechanism (10) released, pulling the second pipe section (8) out of the first pipe section (7) until the tension cable (16) is under tension, and fastening the external clamping mechanism (10).
Mobility devices having smart features and charging mounts for same
Examples described herein include mobility devices that may include a variety of enhanced features. For example, mobility devices are described which may more accurately assess a fall of a user by determining if a user is in proximity to a portion of the mobility device after a fall of the mobility device is detected. Examples of wall mounted chargers for mobility devices are also described. Moreover, examples of mechanisms for detaching and attaching tips to mobility devices (e.g. canes) are described which may facilitate swapping of different tips for different situations.
POLE HANDLE
The invention relates to a pole handle (1) for walking poles, trekking poles, alpine ski poles, cross-country ski poles or Nordic walking poles, comprising a length-adjustable hand strap (2), wherein the strap length is fixed using a blocking element arranged in the handle body. A first end of the hand strap is secured in a top section (4a) of the handle body (4), wherein a mid-section (2d) of the strap is introduced into a recess (6) of the handle body (4), is deflected about a deflection element (11) in the recess (6), and passes downwards out of the handle body as the free second end (2b). The blocking element is pressed onto a lower strap section (2e) in order to block the adjustability of the length of the hand strap.
COMPACT FOLDING CANE
A compact and collapsible cane includes a handle, a tip, and at least two collapsible cane segments joining the handle to the tip. In some aspects, the cane segments are configurable in an unfolded configuration and a folded configuration, where, in the folded configuration, a flat or nesting surface of one of the cane segments abuts a corresponding flat or nesting surface of an adjacent cane segment. In various examples, the collapsible cane includes a hinge with two parallel pivot axes between the two collapsible cane segments. In some examples, the cane includes a connector system with a male connector and a female connector connected by a shock cord between the two collapsible cane segments.
Cross-country ski pole handle
The invention relates to a pole handle (1), in particular for trekking poles, Nordic walking poles, Alpine ski poles, or cross-country ski poles, comprising a handle head (2), a handle body (3), and a hook-like device (4) for securing a handling device. A movable, pivotal, or rotatable latching means (5) is arranged in the region of the hook-like device such that a loop-, ring-, or eye-shaped device, which is provided on the handling device and inserted into the hook-like device substantially from above, is fixed in the hook-like device in a self-latching manner. The latching means is designed in the form of a retaining lug which defines a constrained region (7) for the loop-, ring-, or eye-shaped device towards the bottom in the braced position. Additionally, a recess (8) is provided in the handle head and/or handle body from above, wherein a movably and/or rotatably mounted securing block (9) on or in which the engaging means is arranged is arranged in the recess.
Pole Grip
A trekking pole or the like includes a grip top fixed at the top end. A user's glove supports a puck. The puck is placed on a release button then slid into a locking channel on the grip top, from the release button into the locking channel. Thereafter, the release button automatically locks the puck in the channel. When the release button is pressed down, the puck can be removed. A magnet on the release button can assist in locating the puck properly on the release button and also in withdrawing the puck from the locking channel.
CONTROLLER STRAP AND BATTERY DOOR FOR A VR HEADSET
A lanyard to hold a controller for a headset is provided. The lanyard includes a strap anchored on a top portion of a lid for a battery case of the controller, and a clip anchored to an opening pin in a bottom portion of the lid for the battery case of the controller. The strap includes a stretchable fabric and multiple sticky pads on an outer face that adhere to the stretchable fabric when the strap is looped around the clip. A headset using a controller that includes a lanyard as above, and the controller, are also provided.
BREAKAWAY POLE STRAP
A break-away wrist strap for a ski pole or the like. The wrist strap is comprised of a strap or cord material with a clip for attaching to the pole and a buckle for adjustment. The buckle allows adjustment of the size of a loop portion into which the user's hand is placed, and also allows adjustment of an extension portion which extends from the loop portion to the clip. The clip is configured to attach to a standard size pole below the main hand grip, and is designed to detach from the pole when a tensile force above a threshold amount is applied. The break-away feature improves safety of the wrist strap, allows the wrist strap to be used with existing poles, and allows the wrist strap to be removed when not needed. A storage clip for stowing the wrist strap against the pole is also provided.
