SYNTHETIC FUELS, AND METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
Provided herein are systems and methods for converting CO.sub.2 and a reduction gas such as H.sub.2 or a hydrocarbon to mixtures of paraffins and aromatics suitable for use as aviation fuel.
Method for lightening heavy oil by using coke production byproduct
A method for upgrading heavy oil by using a coke production byproduct comprises the steps of: producing a mixed solution by mixing a coke production byproduct and heavy oil; and hydrogenating the mixed solution under a hydrogenation catalyst, wherein the present disclosure is economical and effective by being able to reduce the amount of coke formation and significantly reduce the partial pressure of added hydrogen by using the coke production byproduct as a hydrogen donor.
Alternative methanol to olefin (MTO) process
A process and plant for producing an olefin stream, comprising passing a feedstock stream comprising oxygenates over a catalyst thereby forming an olefin stream; using a first reactor set including a single reactor or several reactors for the partial or full conversion of the oxygenates; and in series arrangement with the first reactor set, using a second reactor set including a single reactor or several reactors, for the further conversion of the oxygenates, and a phase separation stage in between the first reactor set and the second reactor set, for thereby forming the olefin stream.
FISCHER-TROPSCH PRODUCTION OF HYDROCARBONS FROM CARBON DIOXIDE THROUGH METHANOL
The present disclosure relates generally to processes for performing an integrated Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of hydro-carbons using methanol. In particular, the disclosure relates to a process comprising: providing a first feed stream comprising H.sub.2 and CO.sub.2; contacting the first feed stream with a hydrogenation catalyst for form a first product stream comprising methanol; providing a second feed stream comprising at least a portion of the methanol of the first product stream; contacting the second feed stream with a methanol decomposition catalyst to form a second product stream comprising CO and H.sub.2; providing a third feed stream comprising H.sub.2 and at least a portion of the CO of the second product stream; contacting the third feed stream with an iron-containing Fischer-Tropsch catalyst to provide a third product stream comprising C.sub.5+ hydrocarbons and CO.sub.2.
Method and System for Preparing Synthetic Oil
A method of preparing synthetic oil, the method including producing synthetic gas by introducing the feed into a synthetic gas production reaction in the presence of a catalyst, producing synthetic oil and an FT tail gas by introducing the synthetic gas into a Fischer-Tropsch (FT) reaction, regenerating the catalyst used in the producing of the synthetic gas in a catalyst regenerator, and supplying the FT tail gas to a catalyst regenerator.
