Described are a process and a system for hydrotreating a deoiled asphalt. The process includes: (2) introducing a deoiled asphalt and an aromatics-containing stream into a first reaction unit for hydrogenation reaction, wherein the first reaction unit comprises a mineral-rich precursor material and/or a hydrogenation catalyst, and the first reaction unit is a fixed bed hydrogenation unit; (21) fractionating the liquid-phase product from the first reaction unit to provide a first light component and a first heavy component; (31) introducing the first light component into a second reaction unit for reaction, to provide a gasoline component, a diesel component and/or a BTX feedstock component; and (32) introducing the first heavy component to a delayed coking unit for reaction; or using the first heavy component as a low sulfur ship fuel oil component.

Process of coprocessing a lignocellulosic liquid stream and an intermediate fossil stream in an oil refining process and a process for producing fuel from a deasphalted oil stream

The present invention describes the coprocessing of a lignocellulosic liquid stream and an intermediate fossil stream in the oil refining process comprising the steps of (a) contacting said intermediate fossil stream and said lignocellulosic liquid stream with a stream of solvent of C.sub.3-C.sub.10 hydrocarbons in an extraction section, obtaining a stream of extract with solvent and a stream of raffinate with solvent; and (b) sending said stream of extract with solvent to a separation section, obtaining a deasphalted oil stream comprising solvent-free carbon of renewable origin and a stream of recovered solvent. The present invention further relates to a process for producing fuels from the deasphalted oil stream comprising carbon of renewable origin, wherein the process comprises sending the deasphalted oil stream to a conversion section of an oil refinery. The conversion section is selected from catalytic hydrocracking unit, thermal cracking, fluidized-bed catalytic cracking, visbreaking, delayed coking and catalytic reforming.

SLURRY HYDROCRACKING OF PYROLYSIS OIL AND HYDROCARBON FEEDSTOCK, SUCH AS PETROLEUM DERIVED FEEDSTOCK

A process of producing a hydrocracking product in a slurry hydrocracking reactor. A pyrolysis oil, a hydrocarbon feedstock, and a hydrocracking catalyst is provided. The pyrolysis oil is combined with the hydrocarbon feedstock and the hydrocracking catalyst, the pyrolysis oil being maintained at a temperature of less than 100° C. until the pyrolysis oil contacts both the hydrocarbon feedstock and the hydrocracking catalyst. The hydrocarbon feedstock and the pyrolysis oil are hydrocracked in the slurry hydrocracking reactor in the presence of the hydrocracking catalyst and hydrogen gas. A fuel precursor obtainable by the process.

Provided is a continuous process for converting waste plastic into recycle for polypropylene polymerization. The process comprises selecting waste plastics containing polyethylene and/or polypropylene, and passing the waste plastics through a pyrolysis reactor to thermally crack at least a portion of the polyolefin waste and produce a pyrolyzed effluent. The pyrolyzed effluent is separated into offgas, a naphtha/diesel fraction, a heavy fraction, and char. Pyrolysis oil and wax, comprising naphtha/diesel and heavy fractions, is passed to a refinery FCC unit. A liquid petroleum gas C.sub.3 olefin/paraffin mixture is recovered from the FCC unit. The C.sub.3 paraffins and C.sub.3 olefins are separated into different fractions with the C.sub.3 olefin fraction passed to a propylene polymerization reactor, and the C.sub.3 paraffin fraction passed optionally to a dehydrogenation unit to produce additional propylene.

The invention pertains to a process for deep desulphurization of low sulphur content feedstock comprising the steps of providing a low sulphur content hydrocarbon feedstock and contacting said hydrocarbon feedstock with a cobalt-molybdenum desulphurizing system or a nickel-molybdenum desulphurizing system in an oxide form in order to obtain a very low sulphur product comprising less than 5 ppm by weight sulphur.

Each of the processes is provided with a respective renewable feed, where the feed of each of the processes originates from a common renewable system feed, and the feed to at least one of the processes is altered for example by directing at least part of the feed of at least one of the processes to another of the processes.

Provided is a continuous process for converting waste plastic into recycle for polyethylene polymerization or for normal alpha olefins. The process comprises selecting waste plastics containing polyethylene and/or polypropylene and then passing the waste plastics through a pyrolysis reactor to thermally crack at least a portion of the polyolefin waste and produce a pyrolyzed effluent. The pyrolyzed effluent is separated into offgas, a naphtha/diesel fraction, a heavy fraction, and char. The naphtha/diesel fraction is passed to a crude unit in a refinery from which is recovered a straight run naphtha fraction (C.sub.5-C.sub.8) or a propane/butane (C.sub.3-C.sub.4) fraction. The straight run naphtha fraction, or propane and butane (C.sub.3-C.sub.4) fraction, is passed to a steam cracker for ethylene production. The ethylene is converted to normal alpha olefin and/or polyethylene. Also, a heavy fraction from the pyrolysis reactor can be combined with a heavy fraction of normal alpha olefin stream recovered from the steam cracker. The combined heavy fraction and heavy fraction of normal alpha olefin stream can be passed to a wax hydrogenation zone to produce wax.

System and method for converting plastic into diesel

Described is a system for producing primarily diesel with some heavy fuel oil from plastic feedstock. The feedstock is received into a pyrolizer. There are two zones in the pyrolizer—one where the temperature is elevated during conveyance, and a second where the temperature is maintained. A distillation vessel receives fuel oils from the pyrolizer and agitates the oils at high temperature. A hydrogenation vessel then mixes the fuel liquid with H2 at a high pressure while recirculating to and from an expansion vessel to create converted fuel oil. A diesel distillation tank receives the converted fuel oil and creates diesel gas, which is then condensed to form a usable diesel product. Any remaining fuel oil is sent the heavy fuel oil tank.
