Method of extracting coal bed methane using carbon dioxide
A method to extract methane from a coal bed seam with carbon dioxide produced and recovered from a fuel cell anode exhaust stream while simultaneously sequestering the carbon dioxide on the coal. The process produces methane to supply a fuel cell to generate electricity while reducing or eliminating GHG emissions.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HOLISTIC LOW CARBON INTENSITY FUEL PRODUCTION
The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods utilizing regenerative agriculture for the procurement, production, refinement and/or transformation of low carbon intensity transportation fuels, including low carbon intensity biodiesel and/or renewable diesel, low carbon intensity biogasoline, low carbon intensity aviation, marine and kerosene fuels as well as fuel oil blends, low carbon intensity ethanol, and low carbon intensity hydrogen, that may be beneficially commercialized directly to consumers. In further aspects, the systems and methods of the present disclosure advantageously generate low carbon intensity comestibles, including sustainably-sourced meal and/or feed. The disclosed systems and methods may be utilized and optimized such that the resulting fuels and foodstuffs are characterized by a reduction in greenhouse gas production and a diminution in the fertilizer, pesticide and water required for producing the associated crop feedstocks.

CLOSED-LOOP SYSTEM FOR GROWTH OF AQUATIC BIOMASS AND GASIFICATION THEREOF
Processes, systems, and methods for producing combustible gas from wet biomass are provided. In one aspect, for example, a process for generating a combustible gas from a wet biomass in a closed system is provided. Such a process may include growing a wet biomass in a growth chamber, moving at least a portion of the wet biomass to a reactor, heating the portion of the wet biomass under high pressure in the reactor to gasify the wet biomass into a total gas component, separating the gasified component into a liquid component, a non-combustible gas component, and a combustible gas component, and introducing the liquid component and non-combustible gas component containing carbon dioxide into the growth chamber to stimulate new wet biomass growth.

Method for producing a fuel composition and for operating an internal combustion engine
A method for producing a fuel composition, including the following steps: providing special gas containing combustible substances; reforming a first part of the special gas by producing synthesis gas; producing dimethyl ether from the synthesis gas by producing a reaction mixture containing a dimethyl ether; separating methanol from the reaction mixture and producing a methanol-reduced dimethyl ether mixture; and bringing together a second part of the special gas with the methanol reduced dimethyl ether mixture in order to obtain the fuel composition.

Metal organic frameworks for gas storage
Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods of removing one or more compounds from a fluid comprising contacting a metal-organic framework (MOF) composition having a square-octahedral topology with a fluid containing one or more of CH.sub.4 and O.sub.2, sorbing one or more of CH.sub.4 and O.sub.2 with the MOF composition, and storing one or more of the CH.sub.4 and O.sub.2 with the MOF composition.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TREATING A FLOW BACK FLUID EXITING A WELL SITE
The present invention relates to a method and system for treating a flow back fluid exiting a well site following stimulation of a subterranean formation. More specifically, the invention relates to processing the flow back fluid, and separating into a carbon dioxide rich stream and a carbon dioxide depleted stream, and continuing the separation until the carbon dioxide concentration in the flow back stream until the carbon dioxide concentration in the flow back gas diminishes to a point selected in a range of about 50-80 mol % in carbon dioxide concentration, after which the lower concentration carbon dioxide flow back stream continues to be separated into a carbon dioxide rich stream which is routed to waste or flare, and a hydrocarbon rich stream is formed.
