FIRE STARTER
A fire starter includes a casing made from a first material a first material having a first time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the casing burns after being ignited. A second material disposed in the casing has a second time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the second material burns after being ignited. An igniter, disposed in the casing and adjacent to the second material, generates a first thermal event to ignite the second material wherein the second material combusts to define a second thermal event that ignites the first material. An actuator is coupled to the igniter and is positioned outside of the casing for activating the igniter to generate the first thermal event.

FIRE STARTER SYSTEM, METHOD OF USE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A fire starter device with a cloth or paper substrate, such as a herringbone cloth material, which is coated in a micro crystalline wax. Paraffin wax may also be added to the mixture in a small amount. The device is cut into strips which can be rolled or otherwise positioned to create a fire starter. The ends of the substrate may be left uncoated to promote lighting the ends with a fire source. An auto-starter element can be built into the fire starter near one of the ends. The substrate may be died or printed with a logo or other elements. The wax may be scented.

Flashwick firestarter
A firestarter formed from fibrous material and wax supports one or more logs thereon and is used to start a fire. The firestarter includes a body with an upper surface, a lower surface, a length dimension extending between a pair of opposing lateral sides, and a width dimension extending between a pair of opposing front and rear sides defining an periphery of the body. The body of the firestarter includes at least one aperture extending between the lower surface and the upper surface of the body and log supports configured to support at least one log. At least one air inlet is located on the lower surface and at least one flashwick channel extends inwardly from the periphery of the body along the lower surface connecting the air inlet and at least one aperture to define an air channel. It is contemplated that the firestarter may be bundled with logs in a kit for distribution.
