Organic Fire Starter
A fire starter device manufactured from natural, organic components and designed for igniting combustible materials in wood stoves, fireplaces, firepits, and camp fires, or igniting charcoal briquettes. The device is moldable as it solidifies during the cooling of a slurry of coarsely ground pine cones and beeswax, soy wax, or a mixture of beeswax and soy wax. A cotton string coated with beeswax and inserted into the fire starter during the manufacturing process serves as the initial ignition point for the device. No petroleum products or derivatives of petroleum (paraffin) are used in the production of this fire starter. The components of this device are naturally occurring and renewable resources—pine cones and either beeswax, soy wax, or a blend of beeswax and soy wax. The burning of this device as an ignition source produces no noxious fumes, a pleasant odor, and minimal residue.
Thermite fire starter kits
In one embodiment, a portable thermite fire starter kit is provided. For instance, one or more small pieces or solid blocks of thermite may be contained within a portable kit container along with one or more ignition items. The ignition items may comprise thermite matches. In one embodiment, the ignition items are kept separate from the pieces of thermite. In one embodiment, one or both of the thermite pieces and/or thermite matches are constructed as multiple layers of progressively ignitable materials and/or compounds. In particular, the layers may start at a first layer and that can reach a first burn temperature that is at least a subsequent adjacent layer ignition temperature, where each subsequent intermediate layer leading to the thermite progressively increases in ignition temperature to not more than a previously adjacent layer burn temperature and also increases in burn temperature to at least a subsequent adjacent layer ignition temperature.

Device for starting and maintaining a campfire
A device for starting and maintaining a campfire includes an inner combustible structure formed from a plurality of inner combustible members having bottom end portions separated and secured to a top planar wall of a combustible lower support member. The device further includes an outer combustible structure formed from a plurality of outer combustible members having bottom end portions separated and secured to edge portions of the combustible lower support member. A fire accelerant is disposed in an inner portion of the inner combustible structure to promote a faster starting campfire.

MULTI-LAYER FIRE STARTER APPARATUS
A multi-layer fire starter apparatus includes multiple layers of different combustible materials that are configured for ease and speed of initial ignition that, together, produce an extended length of burn time. The ignition layer may be constructed of gel wax configured to ignite a core layer of cotton which is configured to ignite a base layer of gel wax.

Composite waterproof fire starting puck
An example composite waterproof fire starting puck includes a base of paraffin wax, a quantity of dried waterproof or hydrophobic moss embedded in, and surrounding, the paraffin wax, and a quantity of combustible material(s) embedded in, and projecting out of, the paraffin wax. An example composite waterproof fire starting puck may also include a wax cover. An example composite waterproof fire starting puck may also include flammable organic herbs or fragrant material(s) to provide a desirable smell during burning. When a spark or small flame is applied to the moss, the moss ignites, and after the moss ignites, the moss releases sufficient heat to ignite the quantity of combustible material(s) to melt and ignite the paraffin.

FIRE STARTER TUBE
A flammable tube has a plurality of air passages formed along the length of the flammable tube. A support member is positioned in an interior of the flammable tube. The support member is spaced apart from the lower end of the flammable tube. Solid fuel is positioned on the support member. A flame is introduced to the solid fuel which is within the interior of the tube which ignites the solid fuel, such as charcoal. The charcoal burns away the flammable tube and the support member. The flammable tube may be placed within a grill of the type used to cook food or other container that is nonflammable, and which provides a receptacle for the burning solid fuel without the need of a specialized grilling apparatus.
