FIRE STARTER
20170176003 · 2017-06-22 ·

A fire starter includes a casing made from a first material a first material having a first time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the casing burns after being ignited. A second material disposed in the casing has a second time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the second material burns after being ignited. An igniter, disposed in the casing and adjacent to the second material, generates a first thermal event to ignite the second material wherein the second material combusts to define a second thermal event that ignites the first material. An actuator is coupled to the igniter and is positioned outside of the casing for activating the igniter to generate the first thermal event.

FLASHWICK FIRESTARTER

A firestarter formed from fibrous material and wax supports one or more logs thereon and is used to start a fire. The firestarter includes a body with an upper surface, a lower surface, a length dimension extending between a pair of opposing lateral sides, and a width dimension extending between a pair of opposing front and rear sides defining an periphery of the body. The body of the firestarter includes at least one aperture extending between the lower surface and the upper surface of the body and log supports configured to support at least one log. At least one air inlet is located on the lower surface and at least one flashwick channel extends inwardly from the periphery of the body along the lower surface connecting the air inlet and at least one aperture to define an air channel. It is contemplated that the firestarter may be bundled with logs in a kit for distribution.

System And Method For Reprocessing Animal Bedding
20170081251 · 2017-03-23 ·

A method and system reprocess soiled animal bedding material commingled with animal manure. In one aspect the soiled animal bedding material is separated in a shaker to send at least a preponderance of said manure to a holding tank. In another aspect the bedding is cleaned, rinsed and color is restored. Said bedding material is subsequently dried and a bedding product, fertilizer product, and/or compacted product is formed. Alternatively, said bedding material is dried (without a compacting step) to form a product. In another aspect, the steps of separation, cleaning, rinsing and/or color restoration may be omitted.

Wilderness Survival Device
20170081607 · 2017-03-23 ·

A fire starter device and method for producing the same capable of igniting a fire sustaining fuel source in adverse conditions typically associated with wilderness survival or emergency situations. A wick element facilitates ignition of the fire starter and extends through a generally cubical outer shell into a solid fuel inner core. The wick element can include one or more wicks associated with a wax, each wick including multiple strands of one or more wicking materials. The outer shell provides a hard, non-greasy external surface for the fire starter and substantially encapsulates the solid fuel inner core. The solid fuel inner core includes a fibrous material associated with a wax and can provide fuel to the flame of the fire starter.

Fire starter kit for firearm

A fire starter kit that includes a frame, a scratcher, a sparking road, and at least one fuel reservoir. The frame is having a first end, a second end, a middle region, a recess provided on the middle region, and a first slot provided along the first end, the second end and partially through the middle region. The scratcher removably mounted in the recess, wherein the scratcher is having at least one blade provided with a plurality of tooths. The sparking rod is removably mounted within the first slot, wherein the sparking rod is configured to produce sparks when scratched with the scratcher.

Aerosol generating article and system comprising composite heat source

An aerosol generating article and an aerosol generating system, which include a composite heat source, are provided. An aerosol generating article includes: a first portion including a composite heat source; a second portion adjacent to the first portion and including at least one of an aerosol generating material and a tobacco material; a third portion including a cooling material; and a fourth portion including a filter material, wherein the first portion, the second portion, the third portion, and the fourth portion are sequentially arranged along a longitudinal direction of the aerosol generating article.

HEAT GENERATION SEGMENT FOR AN AEROSOL-GENERATION SYSTEM OF A SMOKING ARTICLE

A fuel element adapted for use in a smoking article is provided, the fuel element including a combustible carbonaceous material in an amount of at least 25% by dry weight, based on the weight of the fuel element, and a particulate ignition aid dispersed throughout the fuel element and selected from ceramic particles, cellulose particles, fullerenes, impregnated activated carbon particles, inorganic salts, and combinations thereof, wherein the average particle size of the ignition aid is less than about 1,000 microns. Also provided are elongate smoking articles having a lighting end and an opposed mouth end, and including the above-noted fuel element configured for ignition of the lighting end.

FIRE CUBE
20170002284 · 2017-01-05 ·

A fire-starter cube has a combustible box housing having a bottom, four sides and a lid, a crib of stacked wooden slats, the slats arranged around a central chimney, a plurality of openable doors within the sides configured to admit fresh air, a knock-out on the lid configured to permit the exhaust of hot gases, the removal of the knock-out providing an opening to the chimney, wherein as the cube burns, the fresh air enters the doors and exits from the opening, and wherein the air forms a vortex within the chimney. In an embodiment the cube has wooden shavings within the chimney. The doors may be perforated on three sides and the opening of the doors is selectable by a user. The heat of the burning cube bakes the slats before they ignite. In an embodiment, the lid releasably locks onto the sides of the box.
